Sotto On West — Restaurant in Sydney

Thou shalt not forsake Sotto on West in their morning tummy grumbles. I walked from Myrtle Street back to Sotto on West looking for a tempting morning meal and passed 2 other Cafes on my way (undisclosed). Neither had a menu that drew me in, but Sotto on West had a short and sweet menu on the wall that I could read over quickly and decide I wanted something they had. I think they should also invest in a chalk board and write their best 3 sellers in bold text (you're welcome owner). I was served by the politest Nepalese dude I've ever met, who gave me more change than I expected as he said that my Cheesy Croissant came with a free coffee, so he had credited the difference towards my Coke. Wow! I didn't even ask for that. Speaking of wow, WOW! What a fantastic pastry and perfectly cooked cheesy eggs!!! This would have to be the best stop off I've made in a long time and I hope the local community can come together and support these guys while times are tough for small businesses. I was charmed from my first visit to Sotto, simply by the warm and unique feel it gives that suits my taste to a tee. The artsy wall and colourful tea pots and cups hanging as lights certainly give off a cool yet friendly, cosy vibe. Service was warm, cheerful and more attentive than one would expect from a neighbourhood café. Our food and drinks came out within a reasonable time despite the large group size and big portions are served in very easy-to-handle forms. Their menu is not the longest, but the options available are both punny (bonus!) and reflect what would be delivered. Needless to say, our group were all very satisfied with the food, drink and service quality. Definitely will come back to try other items...

OMG!!!! What a mistake!!! my wife and I wanted to try this Cafe for a while being local residents, the staff were really loud and rowdy and joking around in the kitchen. I had the fried chicken burger with fries & my wife fried chicken salad, the salad was coleslaw, coleslaw was brown, DISGRACEFUL!! the chicken was deep fried what seemed done in dirty oil, looked like it had been done several times over i eat my pale fries but couldn't bring myself to try the burger , my wife cut into the chicken lucky she had a steak knife to get through the skin and when she did it had pink parts through it $59 90 down the drain and the risk of my wife having food poisoning. my next call will be the...
