This place is relaxing for picnic or a family day out great place for a walk or a jog or just to relax with a cup of coffee in the midst of nature... The path that leads to the treillage tower did not have their water fountains turned on if they were it would have made for a better views from the top of the tower...However there is large green field next to the treillage tower which is great for playing sports...
Also the path through the woods that has stairs which lead up to the treillage tower is great to experience what a walk through the bush forest would be like... Much cooler to walk through on a hot summers day to reach bicentennial park.. It has further bush walk trails at cross roads near the entry of the long stairway path & at the mid-section.. Thats if you wish to do a bush walk around...
Read moreCannot believe the changes they made on the tower down to the Opal tower on that site. Since it’s inception in 1988 the place looks dull with grey paint on the tower. It used to be sky blue paint and the wooden lattice on the tower were truly wooden tan brown but they changed it. It looks small and dead. How do I know ? I was there 33 years ago when the Prime Minister Bob Hawke flew over the site via helicopter ….and I gave him the finger…what can I say I was a young kid.
