The location is great, the coffee was good but wasn't very hot. The staff need more training. They did spend a lot of time trying to keep the bin chickens away but were failing. When placing our order, and reading from the menu on the counter, the staff member had no idea about what we were ordering. Maybe she was new but it took a couple of attempts and another staff member intervening to get it right. We were asked if we were eating in or taking away but I have no idea why. We were eating in.The coffee was available first and when I went to pick it up it was in take away cups. I said that we were eating in but I was told that take away cups was the only way they served it. The meals came in takeaway disposable cardboard containers with disposable cutlery as well so I have no idea what the reason was that they asked if we were eating in. I had flathead fillets with salad and chips and my wife had the whiting burger. The burger was nice and tasty but the salad with the flathead had seen better days. Be aware that they automatically heat the cakes etc. In a microwave before serving. I wasn't asked and I do not prefer my cake or croissant to be heated above room temperature. When I took it back and asked for an unheated one I was told that none were at room temperature as the display was refrigerated. It might have been a good idea to volunteer that information when ordering. Bottom line was that the croissant that I had was very stale. The fish was OK, the salad was sub-optimal, the coffee was good, and the croissant was the pits. Good place for a picnic but probably won't be back to the cafe...

Quite over priced for what they offer. I had already spent $53 for 2 meals and upon asking for ketchup, the service attendant said “I can only give you tomato sauce if you pay $1”

Seriously ? Paying extra for condiments.

If you are giving chips in the meal, the service should also give room for the customer to request tomato sauce.

They also use cardboard trays as their form of “plate” with disposable wooden forks and knives (that don’t function well, can’t even cut your bread/toast with it).

I wouldn’t recommend visiting. You’ll only walk away disappointed and a little frustrated.

Note: the service is terrible. I asked if they were serving lunch at 11:30am as their electronic menu was only displaying breakfast .. the team members responded “yeah” in a degrading tone of voice (as if to imply that it’s obvious).

Firstly you haven’t switched your menu boards. Secondly, this was our first and last time we will...

Really bad customer service, the coffee taste it like water, firstly. Tables are realy sticky like chewing gum.

And the girl even though I asked her to change my order twice, she still went ahead and put in the wrong order.

When I complaint the guy said he can change it, I said No as I was already not pleased. Then the girl was trying to make it look as if I was the one who made the mistake.

Which really made me unhappy and I intervene and said , " i clearly asked you to change my order twice" - the guy said he can change it fir an extra $3. I said no, why didn't they get it right in the first place and pay proper attention to the customer's request.

I go there often but after today, I will not be eating there anymore.

Furthermore their demeanour was...

First time tried this spot today. Lovely coffee and the breakfast food was yummy. Especially the eggs! However, we got served our nice food on cardboard box style plates. Very flimsy and made eating the eggs unpleasant. The cutlery was wooden too.. which I usually endorse, but not if you’re selling crusty sour dough!! Another obstacle to eating the lovely food. I see the laid back, environmentally friendly aspect, but not suitable for most breakfast options on the menu. We decided, we will bring our own paper (plates) and proper cutlery to eat here!! Paper plates not boxes, that would make the experience that much better!

I am a coffee addict ☕️ 💉, so when I say the coffee is tasteless, I know what am saying. The staff are friendly 😃🤗, yet the barista skills are questionable. I ordered decaf cap & caf flat; after making the caf flat, the barista used the same for the decaf 😲 I understand it was the end of the shift, literally 5:05, might have done it in hurry, yet residuals of caffeine was in that decaf cup! And my flat white was anything but a flat. Said that, I would only order black coffee ☕️ only 🤦‍♂️🙂
