Mellow Me Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

My experience with this cafe is totally based on take away orders. I have been enjoying their food and coffee for more than 18 months.

I have motivated to post this review after yet another excellent order this morning. Even something simple like a bacon and egg roll and be done well or be terrible. Theirs was excellent and satisfying. Their coffee is reliable and always enjoyable, especially as I drink macchiatos which are often the downfall of lesser baristas. I think they use The Grounds coffee beans.

I have also had lunch orders many times however I have forgotten those meals. Looking at their menu and the food on display there is plenty to chose from and all looks great.

I didn’t bother taking any photographs as I had takeaway and the photos already posted give you a good idea of the place.

Mellow Me, from the outside, looked like it could be a quaint little cafe.

I thought I'd pop in for a quick coffee - I was early to meet some friends.

Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was how squashy the seating was - it was like they'd tried to cram as many seats inside as possible. Definitely one-way traffic to the counter to order!

Wait staff were polite and friendly - I ordered a "flat white" and sat down.

My coffee came out in reasonable time - there weren't many people inside - however it looked terrible ... for those of you who love your coffee, I'm sure you'll know what I mean!

My first sip - it tasted like "mud water". I don't know how to explain it - it was like the coffee and milk hadn't gelled together. Suffice to say, the taste didn't get better with time!

I definitely will not be heading back to Mellow Me ... I left feeling...

Straight up wish i could give this place more than five stars. Second time we've been here and will become one of my regulars. Pretty much everything on the menu come with options or just forget about the menu and just order what you want and they'll make it. We ordered a big breakfast, waffle with chicken Schnitzel haloumi and poached eggs and waffles with salmon and poached eggs and a couple of fresh juices and couldn't fault anything. Perfectly presented and cooked to perfection and served in a very good time. Prices are very reasonable and portions are pretty big.

Staff are very friendly and very quick to serve you and make sure you're comfortable. Both indoor and outdoor seating and very cosy with a great atmosphere and very clean premises. Plenty of paid parking about 100...
