The old wooden planks have all been removed and upgraded with a new weather resistant walkway but this is still subject to flooding after heavy rain. The entire boardwalk is flat with no steps on the main path so is suitable for prams and wheelchairs. Read moreThe Badu Mangroves area is an experience to enjoy. I love walking through here, especially in hot weather, because it's cool from the breeze flowing through the mangroves. I especially like walking through here because of the Muru Nanga Mai Dreaming Track that is meandering through the mangroves. It can have a rather unpleasant smell, but it's not overpowering. Watch out for cyclists and dogs aren't allowed in this area due to the number of birds and wildlife. There's a public lavatory at the Studies Tower of the Education centre.
