Ali Dine Inn & Take Away — Restaurant in Sydney

The absolutely worst atrocious experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. The service was appalling. I came in-store to place an order since they never answer their phone. I ordered and paid and was told it would take half an hour. I left and came back in 40min to be told it’s getting ready. I was waiting in store for ANOTHER 40 minutes, in which time three other customers along with myself were waiting on service. They ignored the bell that the other customers rang and you could see into the kitchen and see the staff looking at us, talking and pointing at us. It took another 10min before a staff member actually came out to serve and was disgustingly rude despite how long I’d been waiting for. I asked how long till my order was to come out and was given attitude in response “it’s cooking, what more do you want? If you don’t want it just leave.” When i was finally given my order it was by the staff member who initially told me 30min - he kept apologising in a whisper, despite the other staff member having been so rude and at no point stepped in to clarify it was his fault. Hey there, we come from canberra to your restaurant for breakfast every now and then, last Saturday (07/09/2024) we were there at 9 am as that's the opening time. There is a guy in the kitchen wearing surma in the eye height around 5 ft, he was just rude to us to the family of 6 who was sitting there before we got there, he was so disrespectful to them that they left straight away without eating, then he rudely told us you won't get nothing until after 10am, and I replied we are happy to wait, and we sat there, then he passed from Alley again and telling us to leave the premises, we were about to leave but the receptionist kindly apologized to us for his disrespectful behavior and ask for our order, and when she went yo the kitchen for placing the order that started abusing that lady telling her wrong things about her family they had a big big fight people could have hear there arguments on the street that's how loud he was. Just humble request and suggestion for the owner the place your food is good no doubt, but that man is gonna drag your business to zero, so you get rid of him or make him learn the atiqates....

Worst Indian restaurant experience of my life. Ali Restaurant in Lakemba is an absolute joke. I ordered a boneless lamb curry and told the guy three times — no bones. What do they bring out? A bowl full of bones. I called them out, and all the waiter said was “Bad luck, that’s all we have.” Seriously? That’s your customer service?

I told them I didn’t want it and asked for a chicken tikka instead. It took forever to come, and when it finally did, it was dry, tasteless, and straight-up disgusting. The naan was so thick and rubbery, it was like trying to chew cardboard. I actually feel sick after eating there — I legit want to throw up.

And the best part? They still charged me full price for the lamb dish they stuffed up and that I didn’t even eat. No apology, no care, nothing. Just rude staff, crap food, and a total waste of money.

Avoid this place at all costs. If I could give zero stars, I would. It’s an embarrassment to...
