Where : Hundertwasser Village – Vienna – Austria Title: Perfect for those want to discovery a mix of Architecture & Nature
We were looking for a different place to visit in the city of Vienna without being the historic and touristic city center and we found this Village called Hundertwasser-Kravina House which is a little distance from the tourist center but still accessible by metro underground. It was a different and very interesting place to visit, where the place presented us with a new perspective of architecture incorporated with nature, full of vibrant colors and it is not only a residential building, but a small neighborhood where you will find restaurants/coffee places, a small mall with cool souvenirs and a small square around very cheerful and ready to be explored with joy and curiosity. We also bought a small book about this place that looks like it was completed in 1985 and it’s a single most successful project of its creators, connecting Nature, Art and a different life style.

The dialogue between Hundertwasser and Kalke evolved into the idea of creating Hundertwasser Village to welcome visitors. The tire workshop was redesigned based on Hundertwasser's ideas.
This small village, with free entrance, perfectly reflects Hundertwasser's thoughts. You feel like you are in a fairy tale land while visiting the building, shopping at the store inside, or sitting at the cafe and having a drink. I liked the...
Read moreWhen visiting Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna, you can also step inside the Hundertwasser Village, a small shopping centre designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1991) that is just opposite the famous building.
Here you can find another building with the unique Hundertwasser architectural style, featuring a bistro/coffee bar, souvenir, arts & crafts type shops and a gallery. There is also a planted forrest upon the top of the building.
This is another nice stop for those who enjoy Friedensreich Hundertwasser and his creations, and it is worth a quick look inside to see more of the famous artist's building designs and creations.
If you like Friedensreich Hundertwasser or want to see more of his work, it is well worth visiting the Hundertwasserhaus Museum, which is 8-10 minute walk from here and an overall better attraction than the...
