magdas HOTEL — Hotel in Vienna

Generally, it's fine, nice hotel, looks pretty. But, unfortunately, in what concerns parking I had very bad experience.

1).JFI: Parking(garage) is under the building and it is fairly small and pillars there do not allow to park cars in a compact way so not too much cars can be put in it. 2).When you say you want to park a car in the garage them think you mean only one night so you need to confirm your wish to park each time you go out of the parking otherwise you will be surprised coming back from a day ride and finding parking place occupied by another car. 3).When I camed after such day ride and found my place occupied I was proposed to park the car in front of the entrance and then try to park it in garage at around 9 AM if there will be a place. I was kind of surprised because parking in the front is prohibited from 6 AM to 8 PM but I did a mistake guessing that maybe hotel has some agreements and so they can use these places for their guests. They gave me a parking ticket until 9PM (I supposed to pay it when checking out). In the morning I asked them to gave me another one until 10 AM. That guess about the agreement was a mistake. In the morning I got a fine and a couple of other guests who parked their car near mine. I asked on reception to explain why that happened but they were useless and proposed me to call to the police :) It was our middle stop to the Bled lake in Slowenia and so I had to ride around 5-6 hours and such a surprise... Not only I had to pay the fine but I had to waste around 2 hours to find a bank with a parking around and pay the fine so my next trip started in bad mood and with a big delay. The fine was 36EURO + bank commision around 5EURO. The fine was paid in VakifBank - fortunately, the payment itself took less then 5 minutes.

W sumie to w porządku, dobry hotel, pięknie wygląda. Ale, niestety, w tym, co dotyczy parkowania, miałem bardzo złe doświadczenia.

1).JFI: parking (garaż) znajduje się pod budynkiem, i on jest dość mały, a słupy tam nie pozwalają parkować samochody kompaktowo, więc nie zbyt wiele samochodów można tam umieścić. 2).Kiedy mówisz, że chcesz zaparkować samochód w garażu, oni myślą, że mówisz tylko o jedną noc, więc trzeba potwierdzać swoją chęć zaparkować za każdym razem, kiedy wyjeżdzasz z parkingu, w przeciwnym razie będziesz zaskoczony, po powrocie z denney wycziecki i znalezienie miejsca do parkowania zajęte innym autem. 3).Kiedy przyjechałem po takiej wyczieckie i okazało się, że moje miejsce jest zajęte, zaproponowano mi było zaparkować samochód przed wejściem, a następnie spróbować zaparkować w garażu około 9 rano, jeśli będzie miejsce. Byłem trochę zaskoczony, bo parking przed wejszciem jest zabroniony od 6 rano do 8 wieczorem, ale popełniłem błąd, zakładając, że, być może, ten ma pewne umowy, a więc gości mogą korzystać z tych miejsc. Dali mi bilet parkingowy do 9 pm (musiałem zapłacić przy wyjeździe). Rano poprosiłem ich, aby dali mi jeszcze jeden do 10 rano. Rano dostałem mandat i oraz kilku innych gości, którzy zaparkowali swój samochód obok mojego. Poprosiłem w recepcji wyjaśnić, dlaczego to się stało, ale byłi one bezużyteczne i zaproponowali mi zadzwonić na policję :) To był nasz cel pośredni na jezioro Bled w Słowenii i dlatego musiałem jechać około 5-6 godzin i taka niespodzianka... Mało tego, że musiałуь zapłacić grzywnę, ale musiałem wydać około 2 godzin, aby znaleźć bank z parkowaniem wokół i zapłacić karę, tak, że moja kolejna podróż rozpoczęła się w złym humorze i z dużym opóźnieniem. Kara wyniosła 36 euro + prowizja bankowa około 5 euro. Mandat został zapłacony w VakifBank - na szczęście, sama płatność zajęła mniej...

I was from 10. to 13.11 in the Magdas. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. I think it, with all due respect, bad, that for me a maximum of 3 * house the prices of a 4 star hotel. The style is one thing, but if the rooms do not match the photos on the website, that is more than a pity. The hotel was previously a retirement home which I have known for a long time. Please do not misunderstand but I suppose here only money for the Caritas is taken. The breakfast is for € 14, - completely overpriced. I come around a lot and also from the hotel and catering industry, so I have waited a long time and have to overcome myself to write this feedback.

Ich war vom 10. Bis 13.11.im Magdas. Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich finde es, bei allem Respekt, schlimm, dass ein Für mich maximal 3* Haus die Preise eines 4* Hotels hat. Der Stil ist das eine jedoch wenn die Zimmer nicht den Fotos der Webseite entsprechen ist das mehr als nur schade. Das Hotel war zuvor ein Altenheim welches ich schon lange kenne. Bitte nicht falsch verstehen aber ich nehme an hier wird nur Geld für die Caritas eingenommen. Das Frühstück ist für €14,- völlig überteuert. Ich komme viel herum und auch aus den Hotel und Gastronomie Branche, daher habe ich auch lange gewartet u d mich überwinden müssen dieses Feedback...

I strongly advise against this hotel. Although I admire and appreciate that the establishment provides jobs and opportunities for immigrants and others seeking refuge, the vicinity would benefit from better customer service. Most of the staff were very unhelpful. When asked questions, they were often rude or even mean. I was supposed to meet my tour group for a welcome meeting at a restaurant that was supposedly within a 10 minute walk. I asked for directions, and the staff members just pointed and spoke some unintelligible street names. It was dark and cold, and I had no idea where I was going. I ended up walking in the direction I had been told but never found the meeting point. I fortunately made it back safely to the hotel but received similar treatment when I made other simple requests (where is the U-bahn station). Another guest had no heat in her room, and the staff just looked at her like she was an idiot and told her there was nothing they could do.||Positive- relatively close to a U-bahn station, a small grocery, breakfast is included (it was for me)|Negative- no hot water, cold, tiny rooms (not atypical in Europe), no amenities, very uncomfortable bed (like a rock), noisy. ||If possible, spend a little more money and stay elsewhere.
