The ladies who serve at the cafe was nice . They don’t speak English. That wasn’t a problem . However, waiter or their boss has been very rude by asking me to leave tue cafe harshly without letting me talk. We had food and drink there and I had to leave for a while and my friend still was there. When I came to pick her up she was having a private call and I it was freezing cold outside and I wanted to wait for a min inside the cafe til she finish her call I was still holding their cafe in my hand and I had some snack with me despite me trying to explain that we just had food here he was rigorously asked me to leave. I understand they must have rule but no-one deserves this type of attitude especially a lady. That happens to in my life for the first time. I am not happy with his attitude he has been rude. I hope he doesn’t treat anyone like that and...

Of all my reviews so far this is nr 1.

Unforgettably beautiful BUT it requires a mindset of openness and adaptation towards the artistic and philosophical meaning of both location and the lady receiving you.

In other words, don't come in here as a touristic consumer, since then you'll give it 1 star, but as a human receiving connection. In a way, the stars you give will act as a mirror towards your position, expectations and hopes.

Why? We received an orange feather as means of communication, my wife and me blowing it towards each other. Meanwhile, a very warm and lovely "Baga Draga", which was her grandmother's recipe. It was delicious but more importantly: meaningful.

She is not just an artist, but a philosopher, a free thinker.

And she invites you implicitely to accept this as key for unlocking the beauty...

I believe that such a piece of art as is this building, is mocked upon by what they have done. As a fellow architect, I understand that the architects wishes was to build something that also had practicality for the people, meaning quite literally a place where people could live. Although what they have done is create another 'tourist trap' to go see souvenir shops and end up buying overpriced stuff you wont need or want, in the design of the house, and only give away one very small corner dedicated to the architect and his work. For me that's mocking the man himself. The design is intriguing if you want to see it but it's worth nothing more, and I ended up leaving annoyed in contrast to how excited I was in the beginning when I wanted to see...

I really needed to use the restroom and the lady at the till was very pleasant and allowed me in. I then stayed for coffee and cake and I’m so glad I did because it was my favourite cafe I visited in Vienna. Everything about the place is interesting. It is so cosy and colourful, and the “why did the chicken...” page in the menu had me in stitches. I tried Sachertorte for the first time and it was so nice. The lady is friendly and invited guests to stay and watch the Hundertwasser video or read some of the art books.
