Embassy of France — Attraction in Dhaka Metropolitan

This is so frustrating to call French Embassy. I am in France and my family including my son , who is an American passport, will travel to France for Bangladesh at the same day. I called to the public telephone number at least ten times and then no response apart from just stating the general message of its opening hours and the emergency phone number. Without having no alternative and with some doubts if my case falls in emergency category, I called the emergency number. They just behave rude with tone so frustrating. When I said that it is a visa section case and they said please contact the general number and not this one ,even without giving me any change to explain. Then I called again so many times with general number and the results are same, no response. After that, I keep calling to emergency number and found it engaged. After several times of try, I discover that they are cutting the call off. At last in fourth and fifth try, they responded and saying me that look this is not the visa section number. Then I told him, please listen and then you tell me if it is emergency. I keep telling that I am in France and my family is going to travel today in France with my son but he is taken any visa and I am helpless. He is an American Citizen and having an US passport. He said straight, he does not need visa, without clarifying the 90 days issue. Anyway, the way he responded was impolite and for me, highly frustrating. When I was responded first time in this number, the lady told me "the embassy is for serving French people". I just can't believe, what! In sum, it is frustrating that the general number is a infact a deadline but with general announcement that telling you the emergency number. And when you call emergency number, they suggest you call back in the dead number. So non sense and...

They have 2 step security check up before enter their visa application center I have visited thrice in last year, today I found that a person who has appointment on 20 Jun 2018 entered here and submitted his application on 20 May!!! You need a online appointment if you have ordinary passport, official passport does not required advance appointment here and can submit application without euro 60 charge, usually 7 working day required to get back your passport, German and France embassy located in same places, though they have 3 counter each but 2 booth is regularly operated, today I found 01 booth operating and another one for biometric processing, it takes 1hr 20 minutes for me (avg interview is 20 mins), you should have all documents in A4 size photocopy must (2 set) check your documents before apply. France and Germany both are very busy for Bangladeshi applicant who want schengen visa. Passport delivery with an authorization letter can be collected by other persons. I feel embarrassed while senior citizens, vip persons also have to wait outside of gate for a long time even it's in bad weather, I was withnes of many cases those were not allowed for late attending for couple of minutes too. So my advise to strickly maintain the appointment time, usually 10 minutes prior of appointment time is best for all. They don't allowe a bag inside, mobile can be stored at locker other belongings should be kept outside of...

I am gonna share an incident, though its funny...Reaching at premises, i just took photos, though it was not my first coming to dhaka. Here i was never heard of the rules of not taking photo nearer to any Embassy and Consulate So i broke rule, then the door keeper came ( so far i can remember he is someone from security organisations like G4S) and told me to go with him nearer to the door and i gone with him too... then he asked me did i take any photo, i said affirmative, then he ordered me with no respect i mean rudely to get my mobile out from pocket and ordered me ( not requested respectfully ) have to delete the photos... I'm always a law abiding person and a person who always At least want to get a little affectionate behaviour with respect..so i deleted all photos as fast as he said and shown him too i have deleted. I could not expect a door keeper will behave like this....But i already forget it and hope they'll be a little bit fine while asking and requesting someone....As they are not any person involve in force, they don't deserve to act like this, even a man involve in service shouldn’t not expected behave like this.. By the way, i would like to request at least everyone never try of taking photo at premises of an embassy and if done ever by mistake hope the person serving there will not behave rudely but with a little...
