Frist time visiting Saltz, had high expectations but was sadly disappointed. The overall place and seating was really odd, the main dining area was a bit tight and the tables are really close together, another section was far off in the corner and another section of seating in a little hallway area, lighting was extremely bright. One good spot was the seating area in the balcony but probably only good in the day time as at night there are too many mosquitoes. Anyways on to the food: we had the following: Seafood Soup: Soup was quite tasty, nice flavors all around. Seafood Appetizer: The batter of this dish was too thick. So you barely tasted what was inside and it was like eating a donut. Also there was not alot of fish and more vegetables in this dish. Seafood Lasagna: Horrible dish, chewy and rubbery. We couldn’t even eat it. Curry Hurry Fish: Really good, the fish was fresh, the sauce on this dish was really flavorful. A very deshi style dish with a modern twist. My only complain is that the quantity of rice is too little, there should be more rice considering the size of the fish. Fish cake: Fish cake tasted fresh but nothing special, sauce with the fish cake was way too sweet! Surf and Turf: Really bland piece of steak with two tiny shirmp, there was no surf in this surf and turf. I was shocked that a fish restaurant didn’t have a “Fish and Chips” on the menu, really odd. Service: Very poor service, our waiter barely understood a word of english. In this area and in a high end restaurant, the waiters should speak and understand basic english. Even when speaking Bangla, waiter didn’t seem to knowledgeable about their dish. When I asked what is the fish used in the “curry hurry fish dish”, his answer was “ocean fish” 😐. Also the overall demeanor and care was not there. Never came to check once how the food was or if we needed anything, we constantly had to call and ask for basic things like sauce and water. Also one thing I found extremely uncomfortable was when we were eating, the entire staff of about 6/7 people all standing in the main dining area. It was just weird and an uneasy feeling. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience from a restaurant I had high expectations for.

Saltz Fine Seafood, located in Gulshan-2, Dhaka, is a well-known restaurant offering a fine dining experience focused on fresh and authentic seafood dishes. Established in 2000, it has gained a reputation as a pioneer in the city’s seafood dining scene. The restaurant boasts a cozy, nautical-themed ambiance with decor inspired by the sea, including fish motifs, ship instruments, and miniature boats. It creates a relaxing environment perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Saltz offers a diverse menu combining Continental and Asian flavors, featuring signature dishes like the seafood platter, king’s crab, and a variety of soups, appetizers, and main courses. The surf-and-turf options are a standout, ensuring there’s something for everyone. However, some customers have mentioned occasional concerns about the freshness of certain items, so checking current reviews might be helpful. The rooftop dining area adds to the charm, providing a unique setting for guests to enjoy their meals. Operating daily from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM, Saltz caters to both lunch and dinner plans, and it also hosts private parties. Saltz is a must-visit for seafood lovers, offering a unique experience in Dhaka. However, it’s worth comparing recent feedback before visiting.

One of the best places for seafood lovers. Located near to the Six Season Hotel. And, the 1st floor of the building. Interior design is not too much lighter nor very simple also. Washroom is clean and separate for male & females. Inside the sitting chairs and tables are also well cleaned. Separate smoking zones & Wi-fi is available. Here, sea food, kebab & set menu types items are served. But, their & my recommendation will be seafood. The taste of this sea food is very delicious. They are not cooking their food much. The price range of the food is quite expensive. But, if considering their items and location, it'll be okay. Cash & card both payments are acceptable. 📶 - available ♿ - not accessible 🚗 - in the roadside 🚬 - separate zone available 💳 - acceptable

I recently visited Saltz and had a memorable dining experience. The restaurant specializes in seafood, offering a variety of dishes including lobster and crabs. The quality of the food was undeniably good. The seafood was fresh and expertly prepared, showcasing the natural flavors beautifully.

We indulged in a selection of dishes, starting with the lobster. It was succulent and cooked to perfection, maintaining its delicate texture and flavor. The crabs were equally impressive, seasoned just right and accompanied by a delightful dipping sauce that enhanced the overall taste.

The ambiance at Saltz is pleasant and comfortable, making it a great place for a leisurely meal. The decor is tasteful, with a subtle nautical theme that adds to the charm without being overbearing. It’s a setting that invites relaxation and enjoyment.

Hospitality at Saltz was also commendable. The staff were attentive and courteous, ensuring that our needs were met promptly and professionally. Their knowledge of the menu and willingness to provide recommendations were much appreciated.

However, it is important to mention that the prices at Saltz are quite high. While the quality of the food and service is excellent, the cost may be considered overpriced by some. This could be a deterrent for those dining on a budget.

In conclusion, Saltz offers a great dining experience with high-quality seafood and excellent service. If you are willing to overlook the high prices, it is definitely worth a visit for seafood lovers looking to enjoy a...
