Customer service are very cooperative and helpful over email and face to face. some of my friends went for student visa interview; but they were nervous which was one of reason for visa rejection. I would request visa counsellor to be more generous with students as it’s very natural to be nervous as a student. However, students are not given enough opportunity to explain the answer. Before Students go for visa interview they have to meet all the requirements of College and University, sometimes college and university takes placement test before issues i-20, it’s really time consuming process. To get i20, a student has to wait 8-12 months for whole process like taking English test, preparing documents and taking admission, and booking interview. So, 2-3 minutes interview is not enough to judge a student and it’s not fair enough with these students. It’s incredibly disheartening to see the way the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka is handling F-1 visa applications. Students who have worked hard, earned scholarships, and gained admission to respected U.S. universities are being denied visas without clear justification. Yet, they are still required to pay hefty fees just to get an interview slot—fees that seem to serve no purpose other than to keep the system profitable.

To many, it feels like the embassy is more interested in collecting money than in genuinely supporting international education. If there’s no real intention to grant visas to qualified students, then accepting payments and scheduling interviews seems not only unfair, but exploitative.
