If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of Dhaka and want to enjoy a serene evening by a small pond, then Gulshan Lake Park is definitely a great attraction to include in your itinerary. It is a city park with a great walking trail and running track as well. You can connect with the locals here or have a little picnic with your kids while you are here. It also offers a great view of the city. One of the better places for a run in Dhaka is in the upscale Gulshan district, home to corporate offices and foreign embassies. One can stitch together a pretty decent ~10 km run here, consisting of Gulshan Lake and the Baridhara neighborhood. The streets in this area are a bit more runnable

Gulshan Lake Park is a lovely green space located in the heart of Gulshan, a bustling commercial and residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. One of the park's main attractions is its beautiful lake, which adds to the serene atmosphere of the park. Another feature that makes Gulshan Lake Park unique is the presence of a variety of exotic flowers and plants. A breath of fresh air in the middle of the concrete jungle that is Dhaka. Very well maintained park. Full of green all around. The walkway is wide and smooth. There is a kids’ zone, which is small but beautifully maintained. There are separate areas for workouts/exercises. There’s a water station supplying both cold and warm water. There’s a vending machine too. For me there are only two downsides: one is the eyesore that is corporate branding, which is too many in this park. And the other is that they charge a small amount for using the washrooms. Washrooms are well maintained, but the charge is a very unwelcoming experience.

Calm and nice place to walk. ***** Gulshan Lake Park is maintained by Gulshan Society In 2021, Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) signed two separate Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) with Gulshan Society. As per the MoU, Gulshan Society will be responsible for the management and maintenance of the Gulshan-Banani-Baridhara Lake and Gulshan Lake Park on behalf of Rajuk. This will be renewed every five years. For the management of the approximately 8.5 acre Gulshan Lake Park, Gulshan Society has an executive committee of 19 members who are selected from the community by the society members. --- TBS *****

Beautiful greenery amidst concrete jungle with a serene lake and a small nursery gives the place a touch of tranquility...a kids corner, a tea corner a small amphitheatre and a yoga/ exercise court makes this park more useful. There is a port of fresh drinking water refill but I don't know it was functional or not and a basin with soap for hand wash...but only drawback I have seen was the presence of icddrb collection booth...is a big 'no no' within this kind of park where usually healthy people comes with small children and aged senior citizen who may prone to infection if exposed...recommended to visit.
