Surfside Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Holetown

My wife and I were there last wednesday May 1st. I want to say the exact date because I am not sure it is this bad with different staff. We rented a chair and umbrella on the beach, that part was great. 20bds until 5 pm. Went up for a drink from the bar around 11. There was a bartender and a waitress there who looked like they were just setting up. So i sat there and let them. About 10 mins after they were done, one of them finally looked at me, so I ordered, I saw a made drink on the opposite side of the bar, it sat there for about 10 mins as both of them walked by me and the drink multiple times. I asked nicely if that was mine. WIth no answer, the bartender transferred over in front of me. Sadly that would not be the end of the horrible service. As I went to pay my tab a few hours later it was a bleepshow. I had to ask 3 times to get it, then when i did they could not have been more rude. I did something I NEVER do, I told them both off right there. It did not faze them, leading me to believe either it was not the first time, or they just didnt care. I plan on going back to Barbados, but I will never go back to, or...

My husband and I just left this restaurant very disgruntled and upset. I wish I could comment on the food but what I can tell you is that the service is beyond atrocious. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to be full. There was no one there to seat us. We went to a cashier who handed us the menus, and promptly returned to what she was doing. So we figured that it was up to us to find a seat. My husband took the initiative to move one of the plastic tables that no one was using to somewhere in the shade. While doing this a gentleman who apparently works there and had obviously been watching us said, " you are not allowed to move the tables. You could've asked". To which my husband responded " do you work here, you see us looking for a seat and instead of assisting, you decide to chastise us" and then the young man started to argue. So we just left. This establishment has absolutely no customer service. My advice to everybody... Don't go!!!I did not take my money to come home to Barbados, and bring my husband for this kind of service. If I could give them zero...

If we could rate ZERO ⭐️ we would! Living here many many years full time, we know the terrible reputation this place has. However, after several years we thought “maybe it has gotten better” No Please! 😂 after seating ourselves and waiting 15 min (it was not busy) I went up to bar to order our drinks, 10 minutes later sat down with them and waited another 15 min and none of the miserable slow female staff even made eye contact….so I got up and got my own menu. Sat there for another 15 min and were contemplating leaving when one of the waitresses slowly emerged and said what do you want with pen paper in hand…we looked at eachother and thought this should be fun 🙄 Worst service ever, average over priced food, we will never ever come back! FYI: the view isn’t what it used to be, blocked my beach vendors hanging hundreds of clothes for sale on clothes lines between the trees and you will be harassed during your meal by beach vendors leaning over the fence in your face trying to sell you jewelry.
