Otomat is an amazing restaurant located at Van Schoonbekeplein 11 in the charming Antwerp. It is a great restaurant to visit if you like to come in big groups, for example, a group of friends or a family group. But not only groups, of course, but smaller amounts of people are more than welcome as well.

The restaurant is located nearby a modern part of Antwerp “ t’ Eilandje “ where lots of families live. But at the same time, it is also located nearby the student area. Therefore lots of different ages come in and out of the restaurant.

Otomat isn’t just a basic pizzeria, it has its own special touch. Their aim is sharing. So people don’t order their pizza but they order a few and share them all together. Naturally, it is the customer's free choice of how he wants to order but I personally think it is quite a good idea. The food is splendid, there is a wide range of choices. And they even take exceptions into account, such as vegans. There is one little point I must confess, we had to wait a long time for our food to arrive, but I can’t blame them because it was very busy at that moment. When our food had arrived the kindness of the staff immediately made up for all the waiting. Inside it is big and roomy but at the same time still cozy, decorated with nice lights and lots of plants. Also outside it is very comfortable to sit, especially during summertime. I have come here often and by now I can really assure you that the “triple chocolate pizza” is the best dessert you...

I went to this restaurant based on reviews and my love of pizza. I was unfortunately disappointed. I initially received the wrong pizza. Rather than correct the error, I was told by the server I was wrong. This was my first time there, I only knew the name of the pizza I ordered and nothing else.

After I insisted that I actually didn't order the pizza I received, they relented and went back to the kitchen. They came back with a pizza that had toppings removed and quickly put the right toppings on the pizza. They were cold and uncooked, but maybe that's how it was supposed to be. Although I quickly realized that my pizza was missing another topping (jalapenos). I asked once more and they were brought out in a bowl.

The pizza was ok in the end. A bit crispy for my liking. If you like a thinner crispy crust this place is a good choice. I was disappointed in...

Had a beautiful lunch here. Lovely warm and friendly welcome, quick service to get some drinks as we read the menu.

Friend was just giving quick description and I picked what I guessed was a basic pizza.

Thankfully I was way off and what arrived was a nice 'Caeser salad' but on a pizza base (no tomato sauce). Toppings were fresh, plentiful and super tasty. Chicken, anchovies, lettuce, parmigiana fresh lemon wedge.

I've never had pizza like this before, it was a huge change from the basics and really creative.
