Sahat Tepe - Danov hill — Attraction in Plovdiv

A small hilltop worth a short visit. The view of the city at the clock tower is amazing, with the landscape composed of colorful buildings, the blue sky and also opposite hilltops.

While you are there, take a moment to soak in the tranquility of the place as well as the taste/smell of the fresh air. Not much tourists here so definitely a plus for me.

The walk up/down the hill may be slightly challenging due to the cobblestone floors and the altitude. But nothing too challenging and the top is worth your while. There are short steeper paths not reflected online so people with better fitness...

One of the smaller hills of Plovdiv but it's right by the city centre. There are several different trails up the hill. There is the normal paved road up and there are several less travelled paths through the bush and over the rocks. All are easy and even if heights are not your thing, it's quite manageable. Looks a bit of an unkept park in that it could do with a bit of love and attention from the grounds keepers. The park had a lot of graffiti and for a moment I was not sure if I should proceed but it is safe and ok, during the day, I cannot comment about the night. Keep climbing and you will get great views of the town and especially towards the Ancient Theatre and you will get views of the other hills as you walk...
