West Oaks Mall — Attraction in Abbotsford

I went to Tims on South Fraser just after 6:15am this morning on the 19th April 2024, our first time in a long time. Coming across the border we stopped at Wendy's and even though they were closed, which I wasn't aware of, she came to the window and apologized and asked if we could wait. I wish I did but unfortunately I had a morning shift and decided to go to Tim Hortons across the street. My Bad 😞 should have known better. I ordered 2 steak & egg biscuit sandwiches , Employee replied with Bacon? I said No. we don't eat Bacon. Just Steak and egg sandwiches and small coffee. I got confused and said No meat and my husband corrected and said Just the steak and egg sandwiches. We come to the window to pay and as usual Are you paying with Scan or Tap, I replied Tap and tapped my card. Luckily my husband was beside me and decided to check the order. Guess what ,? Yep you got that right. It was 2 Bacon 🥓 and Egg sandwiches. We were not happy , the lady who took the order said they don't have Steak lol then another lady interrupts her and says can you pull to the front giving her back the Bacon sandwiches. We wait for 8/9 minutes and the same girl who took our order comes outside to give us our order. She said sorry , handed the bag and left, I said Hey come back I need to talk to you , wanted to make sure the order was right but she ran off . To my added Stress my husband checks the bag we get 1 steak and egg sandwiche and 1 hash brown. Now my BP is already high. You can't blame me. There's a reason we have drive through. Now we go in and tell them whats in the bag, no one wants to take responsibility, their excuse was we working without a manager and 2 people called out and 2 are getting off their night shift. That's not my concern. I paid , my order should be correct the first time with correct ingredients. We don't eat Mr Porky 🐷 never have, never will. I am not Racist but maybe she loves Bacon so much she can't think of any other meat. We didn't ask for hash brown yet it was in the bag. This is long and I'll be late for work because you Tim's ruined my perfectly Friday morning . Bottom line teach your staff how to interac with customers, how to greet and not work like a Robot. Focus on one customer at a time rather then keep your eyes on the 2nd car. We give big business to Tim's and it seems like a waste on our part. I'd rather give our personal and store business to Wendy's especially the one on Sumas. Those employees are my favorite. Hope u have a good day since you ruined our...

It’s a bit odd of a place when compared with Seven Oaks Mall - however it was always meant to be a type of strip mall. I am really sad to see that Sleep Country, Pier One are gone … but mostly Bed, Bath & Beyond SIGH!! I loved browsing Pier One even though it was over priced, and I loved going into BB&B for Yankee Candle and new novelty items. They are missed. The main anchor here now is London Drugs. It’s one of the best London Drugs IMO. Big, great layout, tons of selection, usually you will always find what you need. I am sad they closed their High Street location as I found it less busy and generally a more relaxing place to shop, erg whatta you going to do. Oh yeah the cosmetics department is amazing so many brands you don’t see at other stores! Glad the Tim Hortons is still there and the Starbucks. The inside of the mall is quite odd - it’s a desolate place compared with Seven Oaks but there’s other options. I wish it would get some more home decor...

Honestly I like the community vibe that it portrays because of the diversity of the people who attend the mall and it's nice shopping And convenience to one and all walks of life Young to older generations senior ladies to elderly gentleman and youthful children and their older growing loving parents. Glad that I can come to laces clothing outlet store and be greeted like an old friend through all the last 5 years of constant shopping there is like a home away from home type people who work there.
