Beautiful! Absolutely mesmerising to feel the power of these waterfalls on our national parks. Too many people don't get it that the only these beautiful shots in the world won't stay that way if they don't respect them and do their part to take care of them. Litter does not belong in the rivers and parklands or anywhere in fact than in the trash receptacles you see everywhere. I can't count the number of times I've seen litter dropped within feet of one of these bins. Would the folks that do that do it on their own property? Somehow I doubt they would. Those beautiful parks and grassy areas are there for our pleasure and enjoyment to be shared by all. Please treat them like you would your own home. I'll be 74 in a couple of months and for the first time in my life I had the extreme pleasure of seeing Waterton Lakes National Park (which is the north end of the Glacier NB National Park in Montana) and Banff firsthand when I spent a month with my cousin in Calgary, Alberta recently instead of merely surfing pictures on the internet. The real thing is simply breathtaking!! ...pristine lakes, forests, wildlife that seem to know they have nothing to fear from the humans sharing the space for a few moments of time, majestic mountains that give you a while new perspective and make you realize how small and insignificant we humans truly are in the great scheme of our beautiful planet earth. I would recommend everyone to see these parks at least once in your life although I would guarantee once would not be enough. Both of these national parks offer so much as do all of the national parks of North America I would imagine. If you're into camping Waterton Lakes has an amazing campground. I would recommend you make any bookings for staying overnight or camping for a longer period in advance as the campground in Waterton is quite large but it was reasonably full considering we went to the park before the season was fully open. We did not camp there ourselves but only stayed overnight in one of the many lodges in the Waterton Lakes Village. If you add a trip to these parks to your life I promise you that it will be a trip you will never forget!

The accessibility of Bow Falls made it an ideal destination for both casual visitors and avid nature enthusiasts. Whether observing from the pathway or venturing closer to the riverbank, there were ample opportunities to appreciate the falls from various perspectives. The well-maintained trails and viewing platforms ensured a safe and enjoyable experience for all, allowing me to get up close and personal with this captivating natural wonder. The beauty of Bow Falls extends beyond its visual splendor. It also serves as a gateway to further exploration and adventure. The falls mark the starting point of the Bow River, which meanders through Banff National Park, offering opportunities for river rafting, kayaking, and scenic walks along its banks. From the thunderous rush of water to the serene surroundings, every aspect of the falls evokes a sense of wonder and tranquility. Whether you seek a moment of peaceful contemplation or an adventure along the river, Bow Falls is a must-visit location that showcases the pristine beauty of Banff National Park. This is one of the most beautiful sights on the Bow River and it is situated very close to the Banff springs hotels. It attracts alot of people especially at this time of the year. It's also a good point to start kayaking, floating or paddleboarding down the bow River, with friends, if you wanna go down to, or past Canmore. Trust me the views are one for a lifetime. Never and I mean, NEVER begin your floating from the top of the falls, unless you are a world class kayaker, floater or just an expert thrill seeker. The falls has a sizeable parking area and if it's filled up, just wait for a couple of mins and a spot will definitely open up. I have been here all months of the year and it's always a beautiful sight, regardless of the weather.

I loved the bow Falls ☃️😊😍 One of the very few falls that aren't complitely frozen and flow. I was there on Christmas Eve 🎄 2023 The view point was great but walking on the frozen river was epic and you are able to get closer. It wasn't crowded, which I loved In one of my videos you can see how the ice is breaking under me, as I move along but it's the section where there is no water under, it was sooo much fun and not too slippery but I was wearing great traction snow boots (Baffin) I was there right when the sun set, it was absolutely beautiful, the moon is right between mountains, mountains covered in snow and almost shining in the dark.. Truly gorgeous 🎄❄️ Lana K.
