Tunnel Mountain Reservoir — Attraction in Banff

This is one of the most spectacular places to have a wedding in Banff. It can be reserved through the town of Banff. Danielle from Something New Weddings set this one up and I was the marriage commissioner. As long as the weather is good this outdoor locations is awesome. You can bring setup your own chairs too . We got married here and it was absolutely beautiful! I do want to suggest the Town of Banff do something to better inform the public it is closed and reserved for an event (they only post a tiny paper to ONE tree, and people come from every angle, not just by one tree). Other than that, if you want to get married in world-renowned Banff, Alberta, outdoors in the middle of summer, you won't regret doing it here! The tourists of downtown for the most part have no idea this area exists....

This is an excellent and understated hiking destination. Open field next to road where you can park. Open field has breath taking views of Banff and also a park bench. Hiking down below on the reservoir. Also, for mountain bikers there is an extensive network of advanced trails, entrance starting on far end of field. Quiet compared to popular look-off on Tunnel Mountain rd on the other end of mountain. Branches are well kept on trails...
