This fitness centre is a very big one, I might say it's bigger than the one at Bonsor and Edmonds ones. The characteristic of this one is that, is located next to a library, a space for playing soccer and doing exercise and a skateboard area within a big park and close to a very nice view which leads to a lookout beach. Went I went inside, I saw this waterslide and a bunch of kids and it seems to be such a fun pool to be at. There's always room for going to do some laps or take some swimming classes. When I went with my husband we were told that we can take swimming classes with our little one (always with the parents supervision) a couple of days a week and we even saw some parents doing this in the pool. It made me want to try. After being there asking all these questions and watching the pool, the outside area and everything, we realized it's a good place to go to and it's not bad for some classes, aquafit, family swimming clases, etc...so amazing and interesting. The place looks clean too and the people at the front desk were very kind and knowledgeable when saying all these things. Thumbs up for this place.

The pool is spotless and very well maintained. The water is always crystal clear and at the perfect temperature. The surrounding area is clean and safe, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The staff is very friendly and attentive, always ready to help. Definitely an ideal place to spend the day with family or simply unwind. Highly recommended!

Great municipal pool in north Burnaby. We’ve been here for several sets of lessons over the years, as well as a private one-on-one lesson to help build some skills. Instructors are good. Parking can be a bit challenging so give yourself a few extra minutes. I haven’t used the fitness facilities so no review on that.

This establishment has gone completely down hill.. I’ve been coming to this place since I was 15, I’m 35 now. Since then, the entire place has lost its essence from the following reasons: The Gym: Besides the new weights/machines in the gym, everything else has gone down hill. Some staff are great, but others are terrible. I will be using a machine slightly differently then recommended (all while not harming myself or the equipment) and someone will run over to scold me meanwhile someone is damaging three pieces of equipment behind their back.. and putting themselves and others in danger (happened August 2025) The Pool: 2a). The supervisors all walk around with a slight hint of arrogance, and once again try to get on me for wanting to use the hose in the men’s washroom to do THEIR job and clean the unsanitary floors. One supervisor grabbed the hose out of my hand - and told me if I want to get the floors cleaned to come and grab a “supervisor” (happened July 2025). Two weeks later I go to the pool and find the men’s change room floors in even worse condition. I go to a supervisor and ask for someone to clean it, and they tell me no because they are going to do it on the hour every hour. This makes no sense because if the floor is dirty and needs to get cleaned they should just go ahead and do it rather than give me attitude and tell me no.. we are grown human beings and should be able to use a hose if we want. I still haven’t seen a rule or sign saying we can’t. 2b). The pool facility is terrible. They took the slide away, you’re not allowed to flip off the platform anymore (yes I said anymore because before we were allowed to, now they run over and give you trouble), there aren’t any chairs?? And the lifeguards used to be friendly and attractive (yes I said it). Now everyone is a computer and only does what they’re told. The staff: Besides the couple of veterans left at the front desk (and Godfrey), everyone has an attitude and is not friendly. I don’t know if it’s the colour of my skin or the way I look, but I always get half-assed service.

Multiple barriers to navigate for those differently abled. However it was appreciated to see a chair lift available to access the hot tub. Wheelchair accessible changing rooms are permanently locked with signage stating reservations required to access. Sole available pool exit from change rooms are currently weighted emergency doors (quite heavy with no automatic open) they'll out at the side of the building and an short but immediate graded slope brings you onto the path to go around the building to then access the parking lot. Abundant parking for all abilities. The administrative team are really friendly in addition to helpful. ** great speakers with erraticly acceptable Playlist

If you can assimilate within a crowd, have zero personal needs or supports that need respecting.. this is a place that might be enjoyable ( speaking specifically to pool usage) If dignity and safety are something you require AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. individualizing, discrimination and minimizing will greet you in that case. Young lifeguard crew who are more annoyed your presence could interrupt their socialization and apparently without any sensitivity training, interest in being allies or individual critical thinking capacity.

I am not trying to keep the city of Burnaby from collecting your admission. I am trying to avoid reading of accidents or disgrace being dished out in future local papers.

Worst experiences in the evening with poolside staff ( blue shirts!) PUTTING THEIR ABELISM ON DISPLAY IN NEON EFFECTS.

I would steer my friends and family to Bonsor, Edmonds and heck even cg brown before recommending they go to Eileen Dailey

Not mad, terribly terribly...

I’ve attended this Centre this summer and used the Gym sometimes, as well my 2 year old daughter took Swimming lessons here as well. Today I went in the morning to confirm about upcoming level 3 adult swimming lessons for my self. I had completed level 2 in the summer and I was told that Level 3 didn’t exist? I actually found out that they did have level 3 and when I tried registering for it quickly it was already funny enough (ALL BOOKED). That is why I went in person today this morning to ask when I can register for Level 3 and prevent from Missing my chance again.

The caucasien woman with glasses and short straight hair with bangs was very DISMISSIVE and Not Very nice to me.

She was very sweet and smiling to the elder Caucasian couple in front of me, but when it came to my turn, her démener changed completely? I even had my Nurse uniform, I’m a healthcare worker who actually looks after very sick elders.

I don’t even deserve a hello , smile nor simple courteous friendliness?

Not to mention the short guy who was beside her, he just rolled his eyes at me (really). He as well has a lot of attitude and was rude to my wife last winter and very insensitive towards my wife not speaking perfect English. I don’t know if he has some sort of Chip on his shoulder ? ( I’m not trying to be disrespectful towards him because of his height) I’m just being descriptive so that the people in charge know how they are.

For couple times I got this treatment from some of your staff and didn’t say...
