I can see that this person has hit a bad nerve on other people as well and thought I should add my experience. This is regarding Jeff T in insurance. I wish I could give zero stars but I had to give something so we are selling our car and called ahead to see until what time they are open and we are told until 9. We get inside at 8:35 and Jeff T informs us there isn’t enough time and he would be leaving exactly at 9 with no expectations. It usually only takes 10 or 15 mins so I beg and plead as the car sale will likely fall through and he said if we could get the transfer for filled out “correctly” he might have time to do it. I thank him profusely and we scramble to get it filled out and in my experience the agent is usually plugging in the info off the registration but he just stood there and waited and then started to go over literally every letter and number one by one. I have never had this kind of experience in years of doing insurance and I was in shock. I realize at that point he is just using his authority and position to waste our time and torture us and wasn't going to do the transfer anyway so I said as much and he pointed out some minor thing and said there wouldn't be enough time. At this point its 8:45 and we call the manager of London Drugs over and he tried to reason with Jeff who I honestly believe is unstable and I did call him a bad person as the game playing is an abuse of his authority. If he felt he didn't have the time he could have said so but to get all our hopes up only to say no is really unprofessional. In my world you leave work when you have done your job not when the clock strikes 9. But this was more than that he appears to me someone who enjoys messing with people and that worries me considering the position he is in. Eddie the manager handled his end fantastically and I just wish I had never come into contact with such a horrible human being. I left with a migraine! Save yourself a painful encounter and do your insurance...
Read moreI ordered something online and it said that I will receive an " Order Confirmation Email". I never received an email with the words " Order Confirmation ". I did receive a. " Invoice Receipt for Order " email, but no where on the email does mention that this email is an " Order Confirmation " email, nor does it mention anything about how I will be notified when my order is ready. When I called in to ask if my order was ready for pick up, they asked if I received an email saying it's ready for pick up? I said no. They asked if I received an "order confirmation" email? I said no, but I did receive the Invoice Receipt for Order email, and she said that's the one. Even though it doesn't say anywhere on the email that it is an " Order Confirmation" email.
Then I get transferred to someone else to see if my order is ready. The next girl asked if I was emailed that it was ready for pick up, and when I said no, she just said, "then your order is not ready for pick up yet" I ask her to please check. When she come back on the line, she said that it's here and was ready for pick up earlier today. So I reminded her that she told me to wait for an email that never got sent to me, and then she immediately changed her story to, " Oh you probably didn't get the email because it was ready just a few minutes ago". London Drugs should be more clear on their online ordering system so the customer knows what to expect and what the next steps are to receiving or picking up their items. So much information on that Receipt for Order email, but they couldn't find space to write a simple, " You will receive another email when your order is ready for pick up ". Also the customer service reps should stop lying to the customers that something is ready or not, when they're either too lazy to check, or don't actually know what's going on. So if you choose to use online ordering from London Drugs, don't expect convenience, or clarity, and especially, don't expect good...
Read moreWell, London Drugs, you may want to put a notice by the Photolab indicating that you do not take headshots for black people because when it comes to black skin, your system always labels some of the parameters as unsatisfactory. According to your photographer, it is impossible to take proper passport photos if you have black skin, apparently the system will always highlight some of the parameters as unsatisfactory. I felt so racially insulted. I told her that this was not true because I've taken headshots at London Drugs before and all the parameters were fine. She was like I'm going to print them anyway and if you have a problem keep the receipt and come back. WOW!
Since Google does not provide the option to respond to comments, I will put my response here: I do take issue with your response below and I will decline your invitation to have a chat. If I may, let me call this out for what it is: this is a textbook definition of gaslighting. Phrases like, "…she feels awful that you feel this way ....she did not mean to offend you…" suggest that if I had supposedly understood what she meant, then I would be okay with being told that my race is not amenable to your system. In fact you’re casting the blame on me for being told that my skin color is a problem.
You are clearly placing “intentionality” and “context” to words that are indefensible. I do not think there are many meaning for the phrase that “it is impossible to take proper passport photos if you have black skin” other than “it is impossible to take proper passport photos if you have black skin”. Are there any other interpretations? I’m surprised that it is not clear how offensive and discriminatory this is. Anyway, as an old Spanish proverb says, “ it is easy to eat meat when it is not your throat that is slit...
