Waves Coffee House - Columbia — Restaurant in British Columbia

I heard from my friend that the Waves are great but the store I went this afternoon was absolutely a mistake. We ordered 2 wraps to stay and were served on plates. My friend accidentally dropped her fork down to Floor when we walked to our table. I picked it up and turned back to exchange a new one. AND THE WAITRESS Lady, An AT BACK OF COUNTER ROLLED HER EYES TO ME AND THROWED A DISPOSALABLE FORK ON THE COUNTER. I asked if I may have a stainless steel one to be environmentally friendly, she SHOWED HER POKER FACE and reluctantly fetched me a strange shape fork from back kitchen (there are a lot of available by the front counter) with a more angry face. I was surprised and asked the other waiter next to us if I caused any trouble to her work and should be sorry? THE WAITER STARED AT ME W/O AND TURNED BACK TO CLEAN HIS COFFEE MACHINE. Well, my friend saw everything and we felt totally a wrong decision trying find a leisure afternoon at the store. Wouldn't pay the tips for sure if we had known the service was horrible like that. Never would go to...

Overpriced. Corporate. Sterile. $2.50 for a cookie? Over $3 for a cinnamon bun? $4 coffee?

These are small basic food items that people are paying so they can sit and type in their iMacs I suppose. The prices should be 25% - 50% cheaper. I should know, I used to make these items when I was a kid at my Dad's bakery. If kids can make these things..

August 2021 Edit: I went back after 4 years only because the other coffee shop up the street opens later. The Breakfast Bagel was tasteless. No flavour, was that real egg?? No ketchup? Spices? Onion??

The Sweet Berry Scone (Triangle) had exactly 4 berries in it. Small ones. All you can taste is Scone - no fruit filling really.

Also, when asking to use the bathroom, the small lady behind the counter mumbles something incoherent being her mask. I don't mind staff wearing a mask, but if they then don't raise there voice, and/or if they expect customers to hear them behind said mask, they are delusional. You can't hear this...

The people and food are great but they took away the coffee stir sticks and raw sugar. Hence the one star review.

Edit after owner reply: There is a "bucket" of white sugar and sweetener packets out there right now, and the glass sugar shaker is lately always caked with moist sugar. I understand the provincial guidelines make it more difficult for you to do business, but what I am trying to say here is that your current work-arounds are not working well at all. It's also difficult to ask for something when only one front of house staff member is available making 4 orders, as happened today at 5pm (ish) having to ask them for 3-4 different things makes me feel horrible for them, as all of this stuff is stored in various places around the counter. Can I get some raw sugar? Can I get a stir stick? Can I get a tray? I think maybe the real problem is that you're not booking...
