Have been to this theater a couple of times. Two complaints. First, separate your ticket and concession line ups. Some people just want to get to their seats and not have to wait for everyone else to get their snacks. Second. Management should show up to work on time so you can open the theatre doors. The sign says they are open at 12:20. Tried seeing Mary Poppins at the 1:30 show. Arrived at 1:15 and the manager hadn't arrived yet. Half the line up outside was still waiting about hoping they hadn't missed the 12:50 Aquaman show. The one lone employee who had arrived on time had no keys and was getting cold waiting to start work. I know it's a small town theater but...

So, if you're an adult in Duncan, be prepared to drive to Nanaimo or Victoria to see a movie for grownups. Other than good popcorn, no one can ever explain to me why the owners refuse to show adult thrillers or murder mysteries etc. For weeks at a time you can see 2 or 3 "now playing" movie titles, and they're ALL children's cartoons and a Super Hero movie for teens. Those in my party had a hard time focusing on the movie as there was nobody on staff available to close the doors once the movie started and we were subjected to the considerable noise from the lobby and the concession booth. After some time when it was apparent that nothing was going to be done, I personally closed the doors and we were able to enjoy the movie without this unnecessary distraction.
