This is a small auditorium near the UBC music school and five minutes walk from Chan Centre.
The building is quite unassuming but, has a nice feel inside, has tall windows on both sides and a small balcony. According to the information on the website the building was fully renovated in 2010. The acoustics is good. But the balcony seats are too close for tall people. The guy next to us had a hard time seating straight.
We came here recently for a piano competition. Three students played three different piano concertos. We thoroughly enjoyed Schumann’s piano concerto. It was a great performance by Jaeden Izumi-Dzurko, who is studying music at UBC.
