There was lots of small issues but the biggest was..On Saturday when I showered, the tub and the shower wall were COVERED in black, thick, straight hair. Clearly not mine as I have extreme curls and thinner light brown hair. Neither of us had showered yet so hadn't noticed the previous day. I went to the front desk to inform them that the house keeping is not doing a thorough job. They said that one of the staff would come in an clean the shower while we are in the room. I informed them that I had already showered so there was no point. They said that they will talk to management in the morning and reduce the price of our room as compensation. I thanked them and returned to my room for the night.
On Sunday morning when I checked out of my room, I asked the front desk about what management said and they informed me that management would call me Monday morning.
I haven't heard from management so I called the hotel today, Thursday to get an update. The lady that took my call couldn't understand english very well and asked me to repeat my check in and check out dates multiple times as well as repeat my name and spell it out for her at least a dozen times. I was in no way raising my voice and to be honest wasn't even frustrated (I work with people all day and have a lot of patience). I was trying to enunciate my words so that she could better understand me. She asked me for my confirmation number so I was reading out the numbers. She would talk over me while I was giving her the confirmation number and ended up putting in too many digits then blamed me for not knowing my confirmation number. I told her that it states it is my confirmation number and repeated it again. She then told me to calm down. I informed her that when working in customer service, telling someone to calm down is not appropriate especially when they are not raising their voice and that she should work on listening to her customers rather than talking over them. She continuously said that she could not find my booking. I asked if I could speak to the manager that was in. She told me no manager was in. She then asked for my phone number, I asked what was going to be done with it due to them obviously losing it since sunday and due to my line of work it is important to have that information confidential. She then tried to end the conversation without me giving her my number, I asked if she was going to take it so she wrote it down. I asked her to read it back to me since there were several miscommunications throughout our phone call. She kept cutting me off and would not read it back to me and continuously kept trying to hang up the phone. Eventually she read it back to me and it was correct. I then asked her for her name and she kept talking over top of me and ended up hanging up on me without giving me her name. I called the hotel back and she placed me on hold for almost 15 minutes. Finally she answered and I asked for her name once again. She said her name but I could not hear her because she spoke very quietly. I asked her to spell it and she snapped at me stating my name is Jaz and hung up the phone.
Needless to say the customer service was terrible. We were still debating staying there during our other previously made bookings for throughout the summer until my phone conversation tonight... management is going to be receiving a call from me tomorrow if I can get past the front staff. Everytime I have asked to speak to a manager, they say there is no manager in.
On the POSITIVE side: -Beds were comfy -Location is...
Read morePLEASE BE AWARE OF A HORRIBLE STALKER HERE My friend and I stayed at this hotel during the long weekend. One night, there was a guy stalking us from the parking lot to our floor. The guy came to the elevator without shoes. I asked the guy which floor he wanted to go, and he looked at the number board and told me same floor. He looked like hesitated because there was another lady wanted to go a different floor. This guy was trying to guess which floor I lived. As soon as the elevator reached the our floor, I asked the guy to go first, but the guy refused. We came out the elevator, but didnât go back to room directly, so we went to the vending machine room in case the guy followed us to the room. After 5mins at that corner, we came out from that area, and that guy was standing beside the machine corner staring at me and my friend all the time, which is too scary! Thankfully, there was a gentleman came out from the elevator and went to the same direction where my room located. That guy noticed there were other people too in the hallway, so he walked away to the other direction. Once that guy is out of from our vision, my friend and I went back to our room carefully. Luckily, that guy didnât follow since we were on the same direction as the gentleman. Later, I reported the issue to the receptionist. The receptionist said, the guy lives on the second floor and there is nothing they can do. Also, he is a guest and so far nothing happens. They just told my friend and I to be cautious. Apparently, this issue happens all the time because the receptionist can tell the detail about that guy as soon as I said someone was stalking us. My friend and I were terrified, but the hotel even wonât do anything! THIS HOTEL DOES NOT KNOW WHAT SAFETY MEANS TO THEIR GUESTS. AVOID...
Read moreI was completely disappointed with this hotel. I had booked 2 nights, one of which was for Fatherâs Day. I specifically chose the King Studio Suite with Sofa Bed because, according to the photos on Booking.com, there was a small separation between the bed and the sofa. This layout was important to us, as we were traveling with our 15-month-old child and needed to be able to put the baby to sleep and then relax on the sofa without disturbing the babyâs sleep.
However, when we arrived (Room 120), the room was not as pictured. I went to the reception to ask about it, and the receptionist told me that the issue was with Booking.com, and that the photos hadnât been updated for over a month. She said there was nothing she could do. While I donât blame her personally, the attitude felt very much like âtoo bad, deal with itâ â there was no effort to offer any solution or even express concern. It left a very bad impression.
Unfortunately, the issues didnât stop there. The hot tub wasnât working on the first day, which was another disappointment. Later, my husband tried to buy a drink from the vending machine; the machine charged him but didnât dispense anything. Once again, the receptionist simply said she couldnât help and that we should call the number on the machine â again, not her responsibility, but it was just one more frustrating issue during our stay.
Overall, I expected a much better experience from a Hampton by Hilton property. This stay did not live up to the brandâs usual standards of care, hospitality, or...
