I hereby formally register my concerns regarding my recent dining experience at Pasta-E-Vino Ristorante Inc. The food served to my party was of a standard wholly inconsistent with the establishment’s publicly advertised reputation and its prominently displayed online ratings (4.7/5).
The lasagna provided contained no discernible meat or substantive protein, while the linguini consisted of only a minimal quantity of frozen seafood. The overall quality bore little resemblance to authentic Italian cuisine and, in my professional judgment, fell significantly below industry expectations. Following consumption, I experienced severe gastrointestinal distress, which I reasonably attribute to the meal provided.
Furthermore, the pricing was excessive in light of the quality and quantity received. The combined bill for one order of linguini and one order of lasagna exceeded $100. Although I considered withholding payment on the grounds of misrepresentation and lack of value, I elected to settle the invoice and instead pursue the matter through appropriate legal channels.
Upon reviewing the business’s online presence, I observed that ownership information is ambiguous. The website displays only a vague image of an individual identified as “Frank Taranto,” purportedly associated with the operation. I have retained a screenshot of this representation for evidentiary purposes. At present, it remains uncertain whether this is the actual owner or a misrepresentation/misprint, raising additional concerns regarding the transparency of the business. I have found no verifiable public record of a “Frank Taranto” linked to the corporation and will therefore be pursuing this matter through formal legal avenues.
I expressly reserve all legal rights and remedies in connection with...
Read moreI am sure everyone who drives on Paris sees the Italian restaurant in the house everyday and tends to continue driving. I use to be that person who always says one day I’ll go there for dinner and now I have been there 4 times. I went last night with some friends and we started with the bruschetta, scalloppe alla griglia and the zuppa of the day. The restaurant isn’t very big and was quite busy, however, our dishes came out in no time. The restaurant is very clean and obviously taken well care of. Our server is very knowledgeable when it comes to the menu and drinks. She even offered to make a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu as long as she had the ingredients.
I was very happy with my main dish which was the gnocchi in primavera sauce. My partner ordered the special (pasta and a main) and my friends ordered the gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce (unfortunately it wasn’t too Gorgonzola forward for my friends liking) as well as the linguine fantasia.
The pasta is made fresh to order and you have the option to choose a different sauce if you’d like. I don’t tend to eat a lot of Italian food, but I’ll always go back to...
Read moreWe are foodies. We travel the world in search of great food and memorable dining experiences. Pasta e Vino, according to me, is Sudbury’s best kept secret. Cassandra, our server made us feel most welcomed from the first hello. The ambiance was quaint and charming. The wine selection, despite not being very broad, had several good bottles and the prices were very reasonable . The portions were very generous and every dish we had was well put together and sooooo tasty. The calamari was possibly the best I’ve ever had, the Penne del Capitano was amazing and the tiramisu tastes like your Nona just made it for you. Frank, the owner, a very generous man, made us feel like family. The entire evening was top notch from start to finish. This is absolutely on our list of favourite restaurants anywhere. Do yourself a favour, encourage a local business and indulge in a memorable dining experience . Thanks to all the Pasta e Vino staff. We definitely...
