Terrible Experience!!!! YWCA Summer Camp, location Memorial School, Hamilton is a poor location to keep kids. The staff from supervisor of that location to the staff that handles kids in camp is really unprofessional in approach. First of all, they don't know how to generate documents of payments. In my case they generated wrong paper and when i brought into their notice they assured to rectify in one week but it's almost one & half month now and despite a numerous reminders, they neither sent rectified document nor revert on emails. They only concerned until you pay them and then they hardly care for any communication with you. This is a level of their professionalism!!!!! Secondly, this location is absolutely not secured for kids, probably staff is untrained how to manage the kids in camp. My son's external part of eye was brutally injured by another kid in same camp. Upon asking, the class staff member wrote the incident report and assured to look into it. But very next day, in the morning, location supervisor behaved very unprofessional and rudely and asked me to take kid out of the camp. Later, I brought the matter into notice of her manager who proved as a chip of same block. They tried all sort of pressure to take the complaint back even by giving option of refunding the money. Later when none of their scheme worked, they started saying that injury happened outside their premises. I even raised my complaint on their online portal but they too proved like empty vessel makes much noise. They can reach at any extent: one side they give report of injury inside premises by another kid in writing while on the other side they give false statements. They are poor in hygiene too. They keep all water bottles in one box and kids normally take water from each other’s bottle. They don’t pay any attention on kids’ meal and don’t even bother if kids finish meal or not. Class staff is mostly busy on their cell phones and don’t even show any etiquette if any parent want to talk to them. Overall this organisation deserves zero marks and credit goes to poor managers of it!!!! I think CEO of this organisation needs to have some control on its staff or train them properly on how to manage events. Absolutely not!!! This location is not safe &...
Read moreThere is one particular class at this location that I can attend semi-regularly, work schedule permitting. In theory, according to the instructor, I can buy a one-day guest pass to take the class. Apparently it should also be possible to buy a few of these passes in advance. The reality is different, though. Much different. Out of the three women I've dealt with at the front desk, only one is aware of the class and willing to sell me a guest pass without an argument. Yes, I admit to getting a little testy with one of the receptionists, but this routine is frustrating enough the first time around, never mind the third or fourth: Me: Hi, I'd like to buy a one day guest pass for the (name of class). Receptionist: Pardon? Me: (see above) Receptionist: Oh, there's no such class. You must be mistaken. Me: Yes, there is. It's on your schedule. Receptionist: No, there's no such thing. (After a few rounds of "yes there is/no there isn't", she checks her schedule, and sure enough) Oh my. Is this it? Me: Yes! And now, we repeat the routine with the one-day guest pass. Tonight was absolutely the last straw. Played the game above with a new receptionist, but she added a couple of twists. She was actually showing me the schedule with the class very clearly printed on it while telling me there was no such thing! I pointed it out to her. After making a couple of phone calls, she reluctantly agreed that the class existed. On to the second inning? Nope. After a lot of fiddling on the computer, she couldn't find me in the system so no guest pass. By this time the class would have already been well underway, so I told her never mind and walked away. Overall, I'm left with the impression I've been discriminated against. I've edited the conversations somewhat so the grounds aren't obvious here, but they exist. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe this YWCA is just not big on customer relations. It doesn't matter. Signing up for an exercise class should not be a Kafkaesque mindf*ck. I am done with the...
Read moreI would give this place 0 star if I had a choice!!!! One of the worst ,worst, worst place to leave your child...your child comes home with bruises and scratches all over her face, which were done by other kids... and if she is too young to talk and you question the staff who should be watching out for your child, acts surprise and refused to have any knowledge and tells you to ask your child who did this to her then runs after another child and look too busy to talk and show no interest, as if this is no big deal!!!! Then your child catches some stomach bug do to all the kids drinking each other water from water bottles since they are all kept together...then you have your family doctor advises you to keep your kid home for couple of weeks since all she is doing is vomiting, you request to have some brake...you will be told that eather take your child out of the daycare and we need 2 weeks notice to leave the daycare or we will still charge you full day payments for 2 weeks that you want off on your doctors advise.. they refused to accept doctors note. LAST management was way way better at least they made exceptions in emergency as long you give advanced notice.....i would never trust this daycare and would never suggest it to other parents.
Now 7 months down the road I get notice to pay some outstanding balance which i never got in last 7 months.....why would they send me notice after all this time for outstanding balance when they had my visa number on the file and they had my authority to charge???? That explains how hard working their staff is and now I know why the person didn't know what happend to my child. I am Very disappointed with...
