I'm always extremely saddened to write a negative review, but it appears that I must to make other patients aware. My mother has been under Dr. Kulpa's care for over 6 years. I reside in Chicago and, unfortunately, am unable to accompany her during her doctor visits. However, while maintaining constant contact with her, I've noticed her blood pressure skyrocketing.
When I inquired about it, she relayed that Dr. Kulpa had mentioned, "There are reasons to be afraid of your heart." This conversation took place a year ago, and I'm unsure of its implications. In my belief, a good doctor should thoroughly explain everything to the patient. I'm uncertain if this was done. Last week, I advised my mom to visit the clinic due to her high blood pressure, and she did.
Upon calling them, I learned her blood pressure last week was 165/76. I feel that with such a high systolic number, immediate action should have been taken by the doctor to prescribe medication and begin treating her hypertension. For some inexplicable reason, he did not.
The kind receptionist at the front desk informed me that if my mom has high blood pressure, she should visit the ER. I find this advice scandalous! I inquired about contacting Dr. Kulpa, and they informed me that it's impossible to reach him.
When I requested my mom's vital history, they made no attempt to find a solution to deliver it to me, simply stating they couldn't share it. I will do everything within my capacity to contact the doctor and obtain my mom's vitals. Dr. Kulpa's apparent indifference directly puts my mom at risk of losing her life, and that's unacceptable.
My mom's age and kindness should not be a reason to leave her untreated, yet that appears to be what Dr. Kulpa is doing. Beware and stay away from this clinic! They deserve 0 stars, and I'm considering legal action against the doctor. .................................... Update to this review:
What I wrote above was a loud cry for help and the only way to contact a doctor. Every review can be changed, and I believe the recipient should be grateful because this way they can improve the quality of the services offered. It is with regret that I note that after reading my review, Dr. Janusz Kulpa handed my mother a letter informing her of his termination of the relationship with the patient. Because I dared to question the quality of Dr. Kulpa's practice as a physician, instead of contacting me/us to rectify the situation and improve his actions in the most arrogant and patient-ignoring (which he took an oath to) manner - after about 10 years, he refused to continue helping the patient, my mother. Also, after my mother brought The Power Of Attorney to obtain medical records, the clinic did not accept it. (This matter is ongoing and I hope to get my mother's medical records). I write all this out of concern for other patients so they know what they might encounter...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDr. Tarik Patel is our family doctor and our experience with him has only been positive, but my son was sick last week, dr. Tarik was not at the clinic so we booked app. with other dr( random dr. which receptionist offer for me) My son's health card is expired now we are waiting for a new one so I was ok to pay for this app. we came, the doctor examined him, did a urine test and we paid $75 for it. Week after receptionist called me " mom U need to come , results for your son is ready, can U come on Feb 15 at 5 pm?" Of course I came...then something incredibly inappropriate happened.. when I came I told lady in reception ( Stacey - black lady) I'm here just to pick up my 4 y. old son's result. The answer was : yes, but his health card still expired so for today 75 $ again. cause she booked "result-discussion" app. for him. For my question - will Dr. discuss results with a 4 y. baby she hasn't aswer, why should I pay for just pick-up test results I paid last week - no answer, she was so unprofessional, super rude, she interrupted me dozens times, in the middle of the conversation she asked if English is my native language, which had nothing to do with the discussion at all, I'm pretty sure she understood all my questions perfectly. She forced me to pay because otherwise she wouldn't give me the test results..So the duration of the app. was literraly 1 minute - dr. said " U know ma'am, his results are perfect, have a good day!" 1 min app. which I didn't even booked for my son( was actually without my son) but it was paid extra $75. the point is not even in the money, the point is in disrespect for the client, in the superficial manner and lack of professionalism. Never recommend this place to anyone! Stacey's attitude was terrible, I don't even understand how person like her - with zero !!! comunication skills can work as a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give ZERO stars and write a review I would. I brought my 22 month old to get assessed for what daycare thought was pink eye. After waiting nearly 1 hr to be seen she was diagnosed with conjunctivitis. Not a huge deal sheās had it before. Doctor Odaghara prescribed ointment . Now, for anyone that has had to put anything on a toddlers eyes knows that an ointment might not be the easiest thing to apply . Eye drops for US works better . Once I got home and realized we were given an ointment I promptly called the office to request it to be changed to eye drops . The request was sent through and I was to wait until the doctor was done with all his appointments and just then he would look through the requests for the day . Understandable. The day came and went and my request was not looked at as I never got a call from the pharmacy to say prescription was ready. I followed up the next day with both the pharmacy and office. Still nothing . The receptionist at the doctorās office was helpful enough to follow up with my request however, her information was not at all positive as she communicated to me that the doctor denied my request. According to him at her age drops are not recommended. Like I mentioned before ā¦. She has had pink eye in the past (3 months ago) and drops were prescribed without any issues. I had my pharmacy send a request to the doctorās office asking for the drops to be prescribed. It is now the end of day. The office is closed and my request was not approved. Dr. George Odaghara has been incredibly dismissive of my request I now have to take my daughter to get assessed AGAIN in order to get the medication that works for us. Someone is dropping the ball and being great at wasting...
