Been to this location multiple times and it's always been great. The place is big, bright, clean and lots of seating spaces. I always get seated right away most of the time, whether lunch or dinner. We were dining with 5 adults. Menu is easy to read and straightforward. The server was polite and brought us all water and gave enough time to look through the menu. We ordered saganaki to start off with, then the regular lamb souvlaki, the large pork souvlaki platter, the regular size beef souvlaki platter, lambchop platter, and 2 sticks of meat, can choose pork or chicken or both and, side of potatoes. The saganaki was delicious and salty, the server came by to light it up which was fun, only thing would be a bigger portion for the price you were paying. The platters are always huge, can choose different sides, and pictures below include rice, potatoes, or veggies. I had the beef platter, made medium with a bit of red. It was good and juicy. Their rice is always so yummy that I'd like the recipe for it lol. Everyone else also really enjoyed their food. My all time favourite is their pork souvlaki platter. Always with a heaping side of tzazitki sauce. The platters also come with a huge side of Greek salad to start with. It's one of my go to places to eat. Never been disappointed, food is always consistently good and flavourful. Unfortunately like with everything, prices have gone up and its a little pricier, but still would come back for a date night or with family/friend gatherings.

My first time visiting this popular Greek restaurant and sadly was very disappointed. The restaurant interior is old fashioned but has some character. Decent size patio. Our server Kendra was so upbeat and friendly and took our orders promptly and offered a wine selection and even let me try one first. We asked her to take the time with our orders while we enjoyed our drinks. We selected Salmon with salad and potatoes and my friend had the Beef kabob, salad and potatoes. The Greek salad was very good but the main dishes looked like the chef just threw the items on the plate haphazardly. The potatoes were cut-up rather large like boulders and should have been well-done and crispy on the outside but were rather soft and lacked flavor. The salmon portion was 5 oz, over cooked and so small it was finished in 3 to 4 bites. The beef kabob was very dark it looked burnt but wasn't and for $18 1 kabob is all you get? The food was tasty but presentation was under-whelming. Kendra's great service was very much appreciated and the Greek salad was really good and the only dish I really cared for.Update tried to give here a second chance but when the waitress tried to tell us this was tzazicki this was insulting. It looks like cream cheese it is just awful. Get your act together.

My friend and I weren't able to get into Open Cork one Friday night so we decided to try Astoria. We were both excited as we are fans of the Danforth location. Unfortunately this location fell short. Albeit clean, there is really no ambiance. It had the vibe of a restaurant seniors would go to for an early dinner. My friend had wanted a cocktail ahead of dinner but I recall the only thing they served was a Caesar. I had a glass of red wine, which was flat. I was hoping for a fuller body that could hold up to a Greek dinner. We shared the Saganaki, which was amazing but close to $20. We also each ordered the Fried Calamari Dinner, which was disappointing. We were expecting the real Greek version that you get on the Danforth but this was a frozen version (likely purchased from Allseas) and thrown in the fryer. Rice, potatoes, salad were average. The restaurant started to clear out very early so we just paid the nice waitress and went on our way.

Four of us went for dinner tonight. We were seated and after 15 mins no one came to table and we had no menus or cutlery. We had to ask hostess for menus. Server Peter finally came. Was very pleasant and friendly. One ordered pork souvlaki and one chicken. I ordered moussaka and our other friend ordered grilled calamari and greek salad. Salads came and still no cutlery. We had to ask hostess for them again. We saw her place cutlery on table behind us who already had cutlery and had to stop and ask her again for cutlery. She was very apologetic and nice about it. My husband said chicken souvlaki was delicious. My moussaka was ok, didn't seem to have usual flavours I have tasted at other greek restaurants. Kind of bland. Our friend with grilled calamari said it was ok. They were very good about accomodating his request to omit oregano. Our friend's pork souvlaki was so overcooked it looked like beef and super dry. Our friend told Peter the pork was not aceptable and he was apologetic and had no objection to bringing her the chicken souvlaki that she asked for as a replacement. The chicken souvlaki's were both hits and our friend was only charged for Pork souvlaki which was cheaper. We had a nice time and food was ok and reasonably priced. Cheapest garlic bread ever...$1.29! Never have issues with restaurants that demonstrate willingness to respond and correct any issues you might have without question and Astoria gets 5 Stars for being so nice. Will definitely be back because of the nice atmosphere and staff. And for garlic...

After a recommendation from a friend, our party of three decided to try Astoria on Dundas. Not only did we thouruoghly enjoy our experience, but it may have become one of my favourite restaurants.

Our server, Tommy, was fantastic! Not only was he professional (with a kind personable touch), but was prompt with service, refilling beverages and checking in to see how we were enjoying our food. A real gem with a great sense of humour.

The food was incredible. I will say this: if you come here try the saganaki (sheep milk cheese) as an appetizer. Tommy mentioned it was a signature, and it was. Fresh, and served with warm pita. Our mains consisted of chicken soulaki, and two portions of the pork sausage. The chicken was succulent, and well seasoned. The pork sausage had a nice consistency with a hint of citrus and mint. Many choices of sides to be chosen from including seasoned rice, roasted potatoes, vegetable medley, fries etc. I've never been a fan of roasted potatoes, but the picture in the menu made me ponder. The potatoes were firm on the outside, and melted on the inside coated with a savoury marinade. As for the greek salad: it was on point! Fresh crisp lettuce and tomatoes, onion, olives, and excellent quality feta cheese (you'll want to order more).

Thank you Astoria and Tommy for such a wonderful experience. The three of us can't wait to visit again, and we will definetely...
