Incredibly poor customer service.
I recently purchased several ornaments from this location’s website and upon receiving my package, two ornaments were missing with no indication as to why (no email from the store or refund email via PayPal).
I called the store to look into my order and the staff member I spoke to dismissively said the items were probably out of stock. Although I’d suspected as much, it was all quite confusing given that I hadn’t received any communication from the store indicating as such and the items were still available for purchase on their website.
I asked her if she could confirm this, after which she proceeded to put me on hold to deal with another customer. When she got back to me, she advised that the items were indeed out of stock and that I would eventually receive a refund.
Given that shipping goes up incrementally per item, I asked her if I’d also receive a partial refund for shipping. She advised that I wouldn’t because shipping apparently isn’t calculated by how many items a customer orders (even though that’s what is implied on their website), but the size of the box. Furthermore, she tried to tell me I should be grateful for the shipping price I was charged because they apparently take a loss on shipping.

Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this Hallmark location. I was walking around the store with my daughter in a stroller for several minutes, browsing quietly, and not a single employee acknowledged us or offered help — despite the store being calm and not busy.
What made it even more upsetting was that an employee did say hello to a white woman who was standing right next to me, yet completely ignored me. It was a clear and painful contrast.
Then, as I was about to leave, an employee I hadn’t seen before suddenly appeared near the exit. The timing made me feel like I was being watched or profiled. As a brown woman, I couldn’t help but feel that this treatment was racially motivated.
It’s extremely disheartening to be treated this way, especially while out with my child. We all deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. I truly hope this store reflects on the way it engages with customers and takes meaningful steps to ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment...

Carrie is personable and professional and has a knack for finding the unique gifts and thoughtful cards I am seeking that I may not find right way. Most importantly, I want to state that Carrie is THE first person to acknowledge me by greeting me when I enter the store after all the years I've shopped at this location.
