Ridgeway Plaza — Attraction in Mississauga

Let me tell you a story about how an unassuming plot of land became the busiest, most obnoxious, and borderline dangerous Plaza in the area.

During its initial construction it had a lot of potential and was relatively calm for a while. There’s lots of restaurants, Dessert shops, and even services such as barbershops, Grocery stores, etc. Much of these shops are in fact great.

After gaining some attention the foot traffic increased drastically. The available parking space heavily underestimated the amount of people visiting the plaza and causes insane traffic in and around the plaza. It is not uncommon to see altercations over parking spots as many people will stand in parking to reserve it until the driver gets there. This chaos is only worsened by what can be described as comically bad driving within the area. Whether it be reckless driving such as speeding or pure incompetence regarding stop signs and safety, many individuals drive as though no rules apply to them. This has led to NUMEROUS crashes in the plaza and surrounding area to the extent that there is now an increased presence of Police.

There is also the case of how there is always an excessive amount of noise such as music, loud exhausts, and large scale celebrations that run late into the night. This has become an issue to the households neighbouring the plaza. The behaviour of many visitors is downright shocking and brings into question how some individuals made it this far in life.

This review is for the entire plaza/complex, not for any single restaurant or store. Unfortunately, the overall design and management of this plaza are very poor. The developers packed too many restaurants into one place, which attracts overwhelming crowds and families, but the infrastructure is not set up to handle it. • Parking: The parking lot is chaotic and poorly designed. • Garbage & Cleanliness: Waste management is terrible. Garbage bins overflow, and the smell of food waste spreads across the area. Garbage juice stains are everywhere, leaving the whole plaza stinky and unpleasant—even before you sit down to eat. It’s surprising that Health Canada hasn’t stepped in yet. • Safety: At night, this plaza feels unsafe. Many drivers ignore traffic signs, creating dangerous situations and frequent accidents. • Public Behavior: There are constant fights, illegal gatherings, loud noise, and aggressive behavior, making the atmosphere very unpleasant—no matter how good some of the restaurants might be.

It’s disappointing that the City of Mississauga allowed such poor planning and design. This plaza urgently needs regular police patrols, especially in the evenings, and the costs for safety and maintenance should be the responsibility of the...

Don’t get me wrong there are some really intriguing exotic food drink and dessert places here but most reviews are fake. There is 2 sides to explore lot of culinary or shopping delights with a representation from a multitude of ethnicities. That being said the only trashy part is the partying late past 12 and constant traffic I can imagine what a nightmare for nearby residents feel sorry that people come here to act uncivilized and inconsiderate but unfortunately manners and dignity is something many of a certain nationality lack to exhibit as respectable and dignified.
