I recently embarked on a culinary adventure at this restaurant, and let me tell you, it was a taco-tastic rollercoaster ride! I boldly ordered 3 tacos - 2 lamb and 1 beef. The lamb tacos? They were so mind-blowingly good that I suspect they've unearthed a flavor goldmine within those delectable creations. The beef, while living in the lamb's taco shadow, still outperforms most of the tacos I've encountered in my lifetime.

But hold on to your sombreros, because this place doesn't just stop at tacos. They graciously bestow upon you an array of salsas and lime that will make your taste buds do the cha-cha. And then, out of nowhere, they drop this golden broth on you that's like the elixir of the taco gods – I'm pretty sure they have a mini-fountain of youth in the kitchen somewhere, perhaps with a secret cameo from Jesus himself, turning water into this golden broth.

Now, let's not forget the mango jarito soda – the perfect palate cleanser, or as I like to call it, a taco-loving taste bud symphony conductor.

But here's the pièce de résistance: the free churros! We showed up just 30 minutes before closing, and the owner must've seen the hunger in our eyes because she served up churros that were crispy and fluffy, as if they were fresh from a churro cloud. To top it off, she presented us with dulce de leche dipping sauce that was so heavenly, it could probably convince angels to skip dessert.

During this culinary circus, the owner and I had a delightful conversation. By the time I'd paid my dues and left a tip generous enough to sponsor a churro circus, she insisted on giving us the remainder of her churro stash. I mean, who wouldn't want to befriend someone who's this churro-mazingly generous?

In a nutshell, dining at this restaurant isn't just a meal; it's a taco-infused adventure sprinkled with humor, warmth, and moments of pure...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Mt. Sinai while on a business trip on 8/30/24. It’s a charming little restaurant tucked away on the side of the plaza that specializes in authentic halal Mexican food. Although the space is small and can get quite crowded—featuring just a couple of four-person tables and a few bar stools—it was well worth the visit for the delicious food and attentive service.

During my solo dining experience, I decided to sample a few menu highlights. I ordered the Lamb Birria, Beef Birria, and Alambre tacos, all cooked to order and bursting with flavor. The Lamb Birria was especially tender and my favorite, though I did find all three tacos a bit oily—perhaps from the cooking process. Regardless, the taste was delightful, and I savored every bite. I also opted for a side of nachos, which were equally delicious, but I couldn’t finish everything on my own.

While there were many tempting options on the menu, I chose to keep it simple. The sauces—regular, hot, and extra-hot—were excellent and truly brought out the authentic Mexican flavors. I made sure to save room for dessert and treated myself to a churro, which was a sweet way to end the meal.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the dishes and ensure I had a pleasant experience. I appreciated the small touches, like having cutlery readily available at each table, making the dining experience even more comfortable.

Although I found the price point a bit on the higher side—around $24.86 for three tacos that didn’t quite fill me up—the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worthwhile. Mt. Sinai is a delightful spot that combines authentic flavors with excellent service, and I would highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the area. I look forward to returning and trying more of their...

Hello there,

I hope this message finds you in good health. I am reaching out to inquire about the food offerings at your establishment, particularly in relation to the meat products.

Firstly, I would like to inquire whether the meat you serve adheres to Halal standards. It is important for me to ensure that the food I consume aligns with my dietary preferences. Additionally, I would like to know if any pork items are included in your menu.

Furthermore, I am interested to learn about the precautions you have implemented to prevent cross-contamination between Halal and non-Halal products. Understanding the procedures you follow to maintain the integrity of Halal items and avoid any potential cross-contamination is of utmost importance to me.

Lastly, could you please clarify the source of the chicken you serve? Specifically, I would like to know if it is sourced from Sargent Farms or Maple Lodge. Having knowledge of the chicken's origin enables me to make informed decisions about the products I choose to consume.

I previously sent an email and also attempted to contact you through your website's "Contact Us" section, but I did not receive a response. Hence, I thought it would be helpful to reach out through this medium to seek clarification for the questions I have.

Thank you for your time in addressing my inquiries. I truly appreciate your attention to detail and commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction. I look forward to your response, and I am eager to learn more about the available food options at your establishment.

To the owner...no...

True Mexican Taste ? Debatable. The food was not great at all. I only ended up eating here because of the high rated reviews The only good thing was the customer service. The owner explained everything in detail about what they offer. We ordered lamb birria and steak order of 5 tacos, Tortas Lamb. There was also another dish but I don’t remember the name. It was basically rice, chicken and beans mash in a box, which by the way was ridiculously small. The price does NOT justify the quality and quantity. You can go to a nice restaurant and pay the same amount. I usually get satisfied with any food provided to me since I am not such a picky eater so me telling you all this clearly shows that this place wasn't worth it. The bean rice and chicken bowl was a waste of money especially with its high price of $22. It was bland and did I already mention it felt like jail food? The Tortas which was a bread with chicken, cheese and bean inside was not worth it at all because it just didn’t have the taste except the lamb. I had to just eat the lamb by itself because the bread was over powering and cheese was bland. I don't know what cheese they used for this Tortas but it just didn't go together. I gave it one extra star because lamb tacos were good, it had good a taste and it was a good quantity. Overall this place was not worth the price. For these 3 dishes I paid $90. I am sure you guys will agree that with $90 you can get better Mexican food out there.

First and foremost, Mount Sinai is an excellent Mexican restaurant that offers a wide variety of traditional dishes. However, what truly sets this restaurant apart is their birria tacos and green enchiladas. The birria tacos are absolutely amazing. The tender and flavorful meat is slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in a rich and savory flavor that is simply irresistible. The tacos are served with a generous portion of fresh cilantro and onions, which add an extra layer of flavor and texture. The tortillas are soft and warm, which makes for a perfect combination with the juicy meat. The green enchiladas are another standout dish at Mount Sinai. The chicken is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the green sauce is simply divine. The sauce is a perfect balance of tangy and spicy, which is complemented perfectly by the melted cheese on top. The enchiladas are served with a side of rice and beans, which are also delicious and perfectly seasoned. Overall, I would highly recommend Mount Sinai to anyone who loves authentic Mexican cuisine. Their birria tacos and green enchiladas are simply outstanding, and their extensive menu offers something for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service is excellent, making for a wonderful dining experience. If you're in the area, do not hesitate to give Mount Sinai a try!
