Cineplex Cinemas New Minas — Attraction in New Minas

This theatre is getting dated... Seats are not very comfortable. Popcorn and ALL confections are beyond overpriced! The staff are 95 percent young people. Which is fine, although they are not helpful when looking for a seat in an over crowded theatre space or there is any issue. The sound is Dolby surround... ? which gives an good experience... but really?... the volume! Wow!! You need to recognize that all movie goers are not between the ages of 16 and 26... I very much enjoy a night out at the theatre... it's getting very expensive and many details, that used to make it a more enjoyable experience are no longer being seen to. Let's face it...the profits on popcorn and pop alone pay for the majority of expenses. So with all the other sources of alternate viewing of New Release movies; I truly believe that you could do a lot more to make each experience a rewarding one. Lower the price of all concessions to begin with and more people will buy them...work from there. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my opinion and make mistake, I am not the only one saying these things. I have heard many people around the community say either the same things or similar comments. Remember bad publicity travels like the wind... positive comments are generally not...

DO NOT BUY CINEPLEX GIFT CARDS!! CASH IS BEST AT TIME OF!!! My nephew received a Cineplex gift card for Easter and a promise to go watch the Mario movie together with his mom. Purchasing tickets online somehow switched the theater location and after many calls and being hung up on and told they can't hear me yet they could, they said they would only refund back to the card after the movie dates and said I would have to pay out of pocket to go watch in time. The point of the giftcard was so he had something he could see and know was coming....way to not only disappoint a child but also rip him off his gift. I personally will never spend another dime at any Cineplex after this pathetic customer service...Gift...

We bought our tickets online - easy. But I recall reading somewhere that we had to show up early because of Covid measures. Understandable, but in our case totally unnecessary - our id & certificates were checked in seconds. And second later we were in our seats. All good so far.

Then it started. Why are the ads so m much louder than the movie? If that's deliberate it backfired - we plugged our ears and ignored them all. And they went on for ages. Too long IMHO.

The movie was good, but we were sat for over three hours. We sure could have done with reclining seats!

Tickets were reasonably priced. Staff were quick, kind & plentiful. No problems parking. Anyway, overall, it was a...
