I was at the Hays Boulevard Store in Oakville this afternoon at 4 pm. I fell in the paint isle. Someone had spilled white or off while paint on the floor. I stepped into it without noticing and went flying. My shoes are destroyed, so are my socks. I got up and was so shaken up. One associate was walking by. I told her that I fell. She could also see the mess on the floor and see the damage to my shoes. She didn’t care. All she said was: ”I don’t work in this section. She said "Go to the front”. She took off and I went to the Customer Service desk. I told the lady that’s always around and seems to be in charge what happened. She went to the Customer Service desk and fiddled around, told the cashier that I feel and want to get reimbursed for the damage to my shoes and socks. NOBODY cared to ask me how I was or if I was hurt. Everyone just stuck their head into the sand. That lady walked away. She said she’d be back and she said she told the Manager. I waited there for 45 minutes. I had asked twice to see the Manager who was “supposed” to come, but in all this time not one person cared about me. NO manager bothered to show up. Nobody cared enough to take my contact info. What a horrible experience. I will never go back to that store. Everyone acted as if they personally had to pay for something. They are totally ignorant human beings. What would have happened to me if I had broken something? Would have left me hanging there? This is a horrible store with horrible uncaring staff. I finally took off and told them I will write a review and I will call head office. This is disgusting. I went back to the paint department to take a photo of the mess. I never thought of doing that at the time of the incident. However, when I got there they had already cleaned up the floor. I am sorry that I didn’t think of taking a photo before leaving the scene. I held on some shelves as I was falling and took some stuff with me. But everything was cleaned up - silently :-). What a great job. However, you can see my skid marks on the floor. When I returned to Customer Service they had all new people there. All the ones that knew about my situation had disappeared. What a joke, but I also realize that the employees are really powerless when a big company like Walmart doesn't care about their customers. I am a spa owner. I treat people the way I want to be treated, and I have policies in place. I guess Walmart feels they don't need anything like that! I am 60 plus and I have osteoporosis. Thank God I am fit, but what someone who is not? I also called their head office. The guy said I should send in my review with the photos, but my email never went through. It just kept coming back. It's just incredible. NO, I do not recommend this place to anyone.

I have a major problem in trying to get a refund of a broken headphone that was purchased at this store using the Instacart. First, the customer service at the store said that the Instacart was responsible for the broken item. Then, I said I want to speak with a Store Manager. Then, a person came and give the number of the Walmart head office and try to solve the matter with it (picture enclosed). I called it while in the store and nobody answered the line. Again, I asked to speak with the responsible for the store and after one hour in a half, a person showed up. I called him "Bobby" since I wast told that he is the manager. We started our conversation when I realized that "Bobby" wasn't wearing his badge and I asked to see his badge, so I would know who I was speaking with and he said that I already called him Bobby, then I said that was because I was waiting for Bobby and he showed up. Of course, he said that he had left his badge in the office. I said that I would wait for him to get it and he said that his badge is private. Bobby, told me that the store could not get the headphone back because of current police and told me to keep it and wait until the current police to change. When this happens somewhere in the future, I can come come and get my refund back. I asked Bobby once again to show me his badge that I want to take a picture of it and he denied again. Bobby wrote his name in a piece of paper that I am enclosing here. The most important thing is that Bobby said that I was not aware of public safety because I was trying to get my money back against a current Walmart police. I said him that he was totally wrong. Firstly, I purchased a headphone because my daughter is studying at home to mitigate current problems with COVID. Secondly, I made an online purchase to avoid going to the store in order to minimize the risk of getting COVID. Finally, I said that he was making assumptions about a costumer which is not his job. All of this because of $40,00. I was expecting much more from Walmart.I have enclosed the picture of the broken item as well.

They didn’t follow a lot of Covid protocols from what I can see. There workers speak other languages other than English in front of customers unnecessarily, so customers don’t know what they are saying. This is really rude. A worker touched my grocery cart for no reason, spreading germs, and then was offended when I told her not to. There was like 5 workers in one aisle in the baby section, making it impossible for me to get what I needed while still social distancing. Update: they now have homeless people begging for money and food at the exit... and today I saw a worker not covering face fully, just mouth. I only come here because it’s close I have kids and sometimes you just need something at the local Walmart but I hate coming here every time Update 2: they have 10% off for all teachers on all regular priced items. It’s not advertised anywhere except at the customer service desk with one sign. I just happen to see it. And they wouldn’t honour the discount on my past purchase on the 13th (within the window of the discount) unless I brought everything back and bought it again. Also wouldn’t price guarantee a pair of shoes bought in Walmart in Quebec because they were bought a different province. Took the shoes to a store in Mississauga and had no problems getting the price guarantee.

Honestly this place and its employees have become disgusting to say the least. I don't normally dont ever write reviews but I've had it. An employee here literally threatened to physically assault my husband and take him into the parking lot when my husband simply asked the guy to stop talking to me the way he especially in front of our 3 children. He terrified them. We were at self check out since they of course don't open lines anymore apparently and he kept harrasing me asking if I scanned my crackpot he asked about this one item alone 3 times, then continued to ask me about the rest then even bags, I said excuse me sir, I come here 3 times a week I spend tens of thousands here a year I manage a store myself, you are standing 2 feet from me I'm on camera I have my 3 small kids, you can gladly help me out and scan these items yourself if you'd like to truly help. He said I'm just doing my job, I SAID HARRASING CUSTOMERS IS NOT YOUR JOB YOU HAVE INSULTING AND RUDE SERVICE. He laughed and said feel free not to come back, my husband told him not to speak to me like that, he then got I'm my husband's face and asked him if he had a problem and if he wanted to take it outside in front of our kids! The manager had to come and break it off and push the man off from my husband. This man is still employees! I literally had people walk up and provide me with their phone number to give me because they were so astonished by what he did and they witnessed it. He got a slap on the wrist and works there laughs at me every time I come in. The managers ignored me after the incident and left me standing there for 25 minutes after telling me she'll be right back. Now today, I was black Friday shopping and took pictures of all my times to make sure the prices matched at the front so I don't over spend on my christmas gifts, one item didn't match up as scanned so I showed the manager the picture of the item I had to argue to get the price it's listed at and she then continued to insult me call me names tell me I'm a scammer, you have 3 of these kids trucks on the self exact same and under that price there! It's only $9 off! I didn't put it there and you have cameras to prove it. The customer service here is beyond concerning. Even the managers are the worst. Threaten to physically assault you and then call you Names and all the rest. Literally they walk around like people in prison! Threatening to assault you and keep thier jobs after the fact not to mention calling you Names. There's no service anymore. It's truly awful. I can't believe what's happened to this Country. No morals no respect no service not even simple human decentcy. Just animals now. I even called head office never even got a call back. I won't be spending my money here anymore not that they care. But if my review will save others! Then that's great. No wonder all the reviews even on Facebook of this place are 1 star. They'd leave a 0...

I would leave no stars if i could.

I went in here to buy one item quickly, something I told to the cashier as I had a prior engagement, and had to repeat because they kept saying "5 minutes just 5 minutes" until I was there for almost half an hour. They pressured me into signing up for a visa of some sort because I was buying a prepaid visa and I got confused because I thought giving my id was part of buying this visa (something I asked and they said it was part of the process).

The cashier told me multiple times if i give them my id i would receive 40$ off this purchase. Once they finished with my id, they only offered me 15$ off...but not even on my purchase. They said i would receive my discount the next time i come back. I asked why they lied to me and said I'd receive the discount now and they told me i was at fault for all of this.

I was running late for my prior engagement and started having a panic attack. i couldn't breathe and i was shaking. the cashier and the manager, Minza, said it was my fault this was happening and did not try to help reconcile the situation, repeating "it's not a big deal" while refusing to reconcile this mysterious transaction and making me wait while they chatted for 25+ minutes.

Next thing I knew, I was being charged extra and owing debt to a service that wasn't fully or properly explained to me. I am beyond frustrated and concerned with the way they treat their customers here. I understand it's busy, but why try and swindle your customers, especially when I made it clear I was running late? I ended up not making my following engagement and crying in my car.

Minza also kept trying to come really close to me when I'd expressed multiple times I was trying to social distance and I was uncomfortable with her proximity. She repeated that "it's ok i'm vaccinated." I did not ask her for this information, I was uncomfortable and wished my physical distance to be respected is all.

I was also in the midst of the aforementioned panic attack and just needed someone to calmly explain the situation I was coerced into and then told was all my fault. They said that this is something "I should have known because I live in this country now." Which felt highly offensive being a BIPOC person who was born here. Although, am I missing something about buying prepaid visas? Granted, it was my first time purchasing one.

I am deeply uncomfortable and saddened that this is how the workers treat customers, but bear in mind this is my first and probably only time being here, so maybe I came in on an off day. But it really felt like they cared more about selling me something than my actual customer experience and service.

That is truly...
