Came into this location on May 22 to pick up a delivery order. Smiled and politely greeted the cashier and told her my order number. She pointed to a bag on the counter and I said thank you, she then yelled at me and said NO ITS AROUND THE CORNER, I said ok no problem, I then went around the corner and picked up the only order on the table and said thank you. The lady then yells at me again and said MAKE SURE ITS THE RIGHT ORDER NUMBER, I looked at it, and I said no, this isn't my order I told you the name and number on my order already. She then goes and speaks with another lady in a different language. Continues speaking amongst themselves for atleast a minute in a different language and I showed them my order again. After not knowing what was going on as I can only understand English I asked if I should cancel the order, they said nono wait. They then continued speaking in another language for another minute and then said "oh somebody else must have picked up the order". I replied ok, well I didn't make any mistakes and I spent my own gas to get here. They then proceeded to speak in another language again, and a lady tells me "Just 5 minute" and i'm like no, that's not how this works i'm leaving. "5 minutes" is what lazy restaurants say when they have to make the entire order from scratch and will take MINIMUM 5 minutes especially with lots of other customers ordering. I can't believe how rude I was treated and that I wasted time and money for absolutely no reason and couldn't even get a sorry in return. It's the employees job to ensure the right order is given to the customer/driver. Will absolutely never eat at this location and will let all my friends and family know never to eat...
Read moreI’ve ordered from IN A BOWL many times, and usually, it’s a great experience, but my latest visit was incredibly disappointing. I’ve always asked for the Sriracha hot sauce, and every time before, it's never been an issue. However, this time when I asked for it, the cashier just looked at me blankly as if she had no idea what I was talking about. After I repeated my request, she then proceeded to hold up an empty bottle of the hot sauce and asked, "Do you want this? You can take the whole empty bottle." I was shocked and asked for just a small amount, and her response was, "You have to pay for it."
Honestly, I wouldn't have minded paying a little extra, but the way she treated me was incredibly rude and disrespectful. There was no apology, no “thank you” for ordering, and she didn’t even acknowledge me as I walked out. It felt like I was an inconvenience for simply making a regular request.
I’ve ordered from this location almost every week, and I’ve never written a negative review for any store before, but the way I was treated this time was just too much. I won’t be ordering here...
Read moreEDIT: Food's still good but the Oakville curse of closing at 8 really sucks for late night runs.
Honestly, I like the food from this place a lot. Some of the prices of apps and poke seem high, but it doesn't seem like the portions or quality have gone down on them at all.
Ramen was pretty nice. It's milkier than Kinton, and I liked the pork slices that came with it a lot too. Noodles and egg were okay. I saw a review mentioning the egg feeling cold, which didn't stand out to me but I do know that a lot of ramen eggs are usually cooked in advance and stored cold, which I've noticed in places all around. If it's not cool to the touch in the ramen bowl, I'm usually ok with this.
The donburi bowls are my personal favorite for cost and portion, they're really good especially if you eat in.
Chicken karaage is GOOD, for 10 bucks it's nice but 12 on Uber is steep due to that cut they take so again order in person lol
Poke is nice. I've been getting more of my own salmon to eat for the cost savings but I've liked the options for toppings and bases they offered here compared to other stores in...
