My wife & I only tried the "free 2 for 1" Buffet. It took about 20 min's of waiting in line with a driver's license to register for a free "member's" card. They were helpful & courteous. Once I had my card, which had a free $5 amount loaded onto it as a thank you, & my coupon for the 2 for 1 buffet we headed over to the line at the buffet cashier. Only a 12 minute wait there, paid our $17.99 including taxes & were seated at our table. The buffet had 2 soups (cheddar-potato & chicken noodle), butter & buns, a greens & several macaroni salads, a hot beef & mushroom pasta, meatloaf, bbq chicken, blackened skin spicy catfish, roast beef, chinese dumplings, russet potatoes, battered zucchini bites, dirty rice followed by the desserts; pumpkin pie, chocolate mini-cupcakes, nanaimo bars & carrot cake. Pop & coffee dispensers (coca-cola brands). We found the meal hot, low in salt, & good. Definitely not more than 3-star in quality. We filled up, but did not have the desire to stuff ourselves. We rarely choose buffets as together we could share most restsurant meals, so anything that can be taken home is pointless for us. I would definitely try the restaurant, if I didn't have the 2 for 1 coupon. I think that the $17.99 was fair for 2 , but at $35.98 for 2 to eat? No! This isn't as good as a Vegas $5(USD) buffet! There are lots of slot machines, pleasant, roomy gaming room, with several tables! Neither of us are much for gambling, but definitely a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere! Hoping the buffet will improve once the intro- coupons are expired after this weekend! Shrimp, sausage, lasagne, beef, mashed potatoes, gravy (not au 'juice'), perhaps ice cream & yogurt, Salisbury steak, etc. would...

This place is in real trouble if they don’t turn it around real quick!!

Starting with the buffet. Most definitely not casino quality buffet and that’s putting it politely. It doesn’t even meet the standards of a 20-30 year old buffet. Small selection of food, much of it unappetizing, you couldn’t even get water because the dispenser had an out of order sign on it. On the positive side the fish was better than expected and the potato & vegetable soup was very good. But I don’t go to a casino’s buffet for soup. Over $20 for a mini bowl of soup doesn’t cut it. My experiences with buffets at casinos have been they are outstanding at great pricing. Something very odd, when entering you pay for the buffet. Using a credit card, part of the process is asking how much you are tipping. SERIOUSLY? You’re expecting me to decide on my tip BEFORE having service from the table staff?

The casino is new and shiny, not as large as what I was expecting being a new casino. Unfortunately this new Rewards Program sucks. We notice that when Dresden switched over the odds of winning were greatly reduced and people didn’t stay very long. I suspect the same will hold true here as well. I’ve seen the bad reviews on the Matches restaurant.

Taking all that into account the future doesn’t look good for this place to survive. What a wasted...

Did drive for over 24 mins to restaurant for Mother’s Day and it was rather not welcoming body language because I been to so many restaurant to Toronto to Chatham but anyways when I reach I saw sign wait before seated and ask for table of two and guest attended was it’s all full and restaurant was almost empty with no one waiting outside it’s was empty restaurant I say. Funny part is when I book table reservations online it’s available so why the lie and it’s rather coincidence that when called there is glitch in system but to almost empty restaurant..seem I was not guest of acceptance and I called 3 times and same attendance answer, makes me wonder how busy it is.2 when I called manager was it was busy outside but not sure now and it could it glitch which happens..but she can look I just say no thank you and cancel because it’s bad taste to mouth . 1 is as guest attendant as front line there was like surprise look ..and I don’t feel welcome there..so if you those persons who just want to dine in don’t go without reservation online because you may get not so polite welcome. I reach to another restaurant with no reservations and guest attendant can search table available that was almost empty too lol so it’s time for casino to do better customer...
