I hadn't been to a theater in over a decade. I think the last movie I saw in theatres was the last Harry Potter movie, so it's been a while. I just got back from seeing the Super Mario Bros Movie here and OH MY GOD it was amazing! Entering the building made me feel like a kid again. Arcade machines, loud music, and all the snacks you could want, but can't afford. The chairs reclined and had cup holders, which is a nice touch. I was worried about the screen. I have mild myopia, so I was worried that the screen would be blurry, but it wasn't. It was crisp and clear. no eyestrain at all. Even if it was blurry, that would be on me, not the theatre, but the point is that I wasn't worried about my eyes as I watched the movie. The movie sounded good too. Whenever a loud explosion happened, you could feel the sound reverberate through the room. In the end, I have two complaints. 1: my side kept hitting the switch that reclined my chair, so I had to keep adjusting my position. I could relax, but not TOO much. This only happened about twice, so it wasn't too bad. 2: I had a large popcorn, Diet Coke, and some Reese's pieces and I had no idea how to hold onto it all. If I didn't have my coat to put the Reese's Pieces into my pocket, I don't know what I would have done. A tray, or some sort of container would have been nice. I also didn't really know where to safely put them when I needed to use the restroom before watching the movie. (Thankfully, I came with family, who held onto my food for me) But those are nitpicky and didn't at all ruin my experience. If you want to watch a movie, this is a damn good choice.

First time to Cineplex Odeon in Windsor. Upon entering, it's a very wide open and spacious lobby with the snacks, tickets, and video games all around the room. Very easy to find where you're going in this cinema. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a good first experience. Our seats were well lit and recliners, which made for a comfortable showing for A Haunting in Venice. The pre show was quite boring, but luckily that didn't bother us. Washrooms were clean and everything was working. Most of the theatre was also clean. Biggest downside is concessions. It's pretty unbelievable a large movie theatre popcorn with butter costs 12.00. I know the theatre has to make money, but it's pretty pathetic gouging people that much money. Getting a brown paper bag with a clear plastic bag on the inside is just sad, Cineplex. It used to be about quality and being worth the money, but now it's not justified. Overall, good movie and theatre experience, but concessions are a pretty big rip off for the small amount that you get.

Clean, comfortable, high quality Audio and Video, and staff have always been kind every time I’ve visited. My experience watching movies here is always delightful, to be fair, it is very likely because I am always careful to only watch when it’s not crowded at all, and late night/weekday shows. The reclining seats were once a luxury, now it’s almost a standard and I struggle to enjoy a movie when not seated in these awesome seats. Drinks and popcorn are what you’d expect at a theatre, but I do find this particular theatre provides a lower kernel to popcorn ratio; could be my imagination though. Audio is at a perfect level, rarely too loud. Video quality, even in the smaller theatre rooms, always looking great. My only suggestion, but this is strictly preference, I do find it gets a bit warm inside sometimes, especially this summer (2021).

I have given them a really bad rating in the past, since their popcorn wasn't as fresh and whatever topping they were putting on was not butter.

Maybe a substitute but recently I think they've changed that butter substitute because it actually tastes better instead of like oil.

I am disappointed in the fact that they have downsized there cups and popcorn bags and if they thought that people didn't know this we have and for the amount that they charge for a popcorn and a pop on top of a movie you think that they could give you a little bit more or go back to free refills like they used to do I mean seriously how much does it cost them for a bag of freaking popcorn!?

Perhaps instead of scrimping on stuff like that if they want to get people to come back to the movie theater instead of streaming everything which I have started doing for some movies but not all they might want to rethink downsizing their popcorn bags and pop cups other than that what more can you say.

The staff are half & half, some of them look like they're just there to collect a paycheck and do the bare minimum and others are Pleasant & engaging & greet you with a smile, which is nice.

I still enjoy going to the movies but I do wish that we had more than one movie theater in Windsor, not discounting Lakeshore but its outside of Windsor.

Having JUST cineplex sucks because when we had Silver City (pre-covid) the movies stayed in the theaters longer & there were more of them. Now because SPACE is so limited you hardly even get a chance to go see a movie before it's already off the air, which is kind of a pain in the behind.

I'm also talking about a week or two, I have put movies on my list to go see and then a couple of weeks later when I have an opportunity to go it's off the air, so of course thwn I buy it & watch it at home, but it's not the same experience.

The other thing that drives me crazy and I was just at the show a couple of days ago with a family who talked through the whole movie, is people who feel the need to talk through the whole thing, If I'm paying $10 for a movie and another $10 for popcorn I want to go & enjoy the movie I don't want to hear you Chit Chat so for all those chit Chatters out there... stay at home because you are ruining everyone else's movie experience!! Stay home if you...
