A Shining Star at Mandarin: Peggy the Waitress Who Makes Every Visit Special ❤️
In a world where exceptional service can be rare, there are still gems who stand out and make every dining experience memorable. At Mandarin Restaurant, a beloved destination for families, friends, and food lovers alike, there’s one name that keeps guests coming back, not just for the food, but for the feeling of being genuinely cared for: Peggy.
Peggy is not just a waitress. She is the beating heart of the dining room, a radiant presence whose warmth, attentiveness, and grace elevate every meal. For those who frequent Mandarin, spotting her familiar smile across the room is like coming home. We always look for Peggy when we arrive, and love her, not out of habit, but because she transforms a good evening into a truly special one. 😀
What sets Peggy apart is her intuitive sense of service. Before you even know you need something, Peggy is already on her way with it. A refill of your favorite drink? It’s there. A warm greeting and a genuine interest in how your day is going? Always. She remembers preferences, offers thoughtful suggestions, and treats every guest—whether it’s their first visit or their fiftieth—as someone worth celebrating.
It’s not just about efficiency (though she’s impressively quick on her feet); it’s the way Peggy makes people feel seen. Her kindness isn’t a performance but it’s part of who she is. Even on the busiest nights, when the dining room hums with energy and chatter, Peggy maintains her calm and grace, ensuring that every table in her care feels just as important as the next.
There’s a reason why so many regulars ask for her by name. Peggy is more than a server, she’s part of the Mandarin experience. Her presence reflects the values that Mandarin upholds: hospitality, warmth, and the joy of...

Review: Mandarin Restaurant Buffet
We had an amazing dinner at Mandarin Restaurant tonight with a group of 8 people. From the moment we arrived, everything was impressive. They welcomed us with a hot towel — such a nice touch to start the meal!
The buffet had a great variety of local, Chinese, and sushi options, all incredibly delicious. The dessert section was elegant and beautifully presented. The interior of the restaurant is stylish and cozy, creating a lovely dining atmosphere.
The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. A bonus for families — kids under 5 eat free, and those above 5 are charged half price, which is very reasonable.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a wide selection of tasty dishes in a welcoming setting!

Read moreMy family and I came to Mandarin restaurant, and we had an amazing time. The food was super fresh, and always available. I can't say enough for the salt and pepper shrimp, the basil mussels, and the garlic shrimp 🦐🦐🦐. The dessert buffet was awesome too 😋.
Our servers Maria and Matthew were super friendly, and efficient in their service, and were wearing smiles the whole time 😁. What really amazed me is that all servers (as well as front servers) seemed genuinely happy to be there. I mentioned, after the bill was paid, that it was my birthday to Matthew. He said "I understand that it's not everyone's thing" (In terms of being the center of attention). I told him I did mind but I understood how singing happy birthday multiple times a night, having to stop whatever you are doing to do so, can be a lot. His response? With a smile he told me "Anything to have a good time! I like it and it gives me a chance to practice my music because I'm in a band". I know a lot of musicians and a lot of them would feel this was beneath them in some way but it seems like Matthew felt empowered by his job. Also, a highlight? A senior birthday girl was in the dinning room and the staff got everyone in the dinning room to sing happy birthday to her and clap. She was in tears (of happiness) at the end.
My kids had a blast as well. My 7yr old was taken aback by the decor, she wanted to tell the designer how much she enjoyed the style. Both of my kids ate until they couldn't eat...
