Koryo Korean Barbeque — Restaurant in Ontario

I have been eating at Koryo for at least the last 3 years. I always order the same meal, #4 with the potatoes and glass noodles. It is to the point where some of the staff know exactly what I’m ordering as soon as they see me. I absolutely love it and have recommended it to pretty much every one of my friends at least once.

Recently, they went above and beyond with their service. I had ordered through the Koryo website as opposed to using Skip The Dishes as I had been when ordering on days when I am working. Everything seemed to be going well until I got the message that my order had been delivered and I was left with no food. I reached out to the driver and after some back and forth I no longer was receiving replies. After my shift was finished, I drove to the mall in my way home and explained the situation. The staff working that day called the owner and after re-explaining the situation and confirming who I was, they remade my order for me, reached out to the driver on my behalf, and were generally very helpful.

Koryo is absolutely my favourite place to eat lunch, I must eat there at least once a week. Both the quantity and quality of the food is excellent especially considering the price. I would...

It’s your standard mall KBBQ. I’m thankful that we even still have a Korean BBQ place left in Windsor. Unfortunately, it’s price point most likely explains why there is such low clientele. They gave me a small meat portion and massive side portions, but I don’t believe that that equals out in terms of value, but at least it keeps you full.

The other issue is that they try to turn out food as fast as they can due to a floating manager always pressing the employees. This ends up with the food not being cooked to as hot as it should be. It was just hot enough that I assumed the food was over 160F.

Will I come back here? Maybe. This place beats Manchu Wok next door any day in terms of taste and health, but I’ll probably stay away from the Devonshire Mall food court and it’s massively...

The food is always delicious, and a great ammount for the price, however I was in today and between serving me and another person the woman stuck her gloved pinky finger in her ear and twisted quickly before grabbing my food box to fill it. I asked her to please change her glove, as I just saw her dig in her ear, and she looked at me confused before heading to the sink and WASHING the gloves... I was so dumbfounded I didnt say much else (as she had been using utensils for my food, thank god). I took my food and left, watching her begin to serve the next person at the till. It was not very busy in there, the next customer came up after I had recieved my food. This was disappointing to see, because I love their food. I wonder how many times the same glove has touched multiple things on top of this womans face, even cash handling. I love the food, and hope this is a one time thing. Otherwise, kbbq needs to re-up their food handlers...
