Doug Fluhrer Park is a narrow park facing the St. Lawrence River on the east, anchored by the Woolen Mill on the north and up agsinst the Kingston Marina on the south. It is named after a very well-liked and respected City employee. I'm at the Park once every week to work out at Focus Personal Fitness Studio in the Woolen Mill. We sometimes go outside to warm-up by running up and down the Park's Waterfront Pathway as well as work out on the grass. There is long retaining wall along the west side of the park. It used to attract graffiti but this past year it was the site of street art. I've attached photos of just a sample of the very interesting art panels.

kingston's best kept secret! a beautiful waterfront trail for walking the dog, or taking a quiet, contemplative walk by yourself or with a friend. in the summer there're usually baby goslings, so you can check out some ontario wildlife.

only slight con is there's a lot of goose poop in the summer, the canadian geese seem to have made the park their spring and early summer hangout spot. however, the city cleans the poop off the gravel path pretty regularly, so you can avoid this. beautiful...

Three months of the year I rent a very expensive parking spot in the parking lot. Muddy and usually full of pot holes and garbage. I then walk or ride my bicycle from there to the Market Square. In summer weather I park on a side street down by the Woolen Mill at no charge. I then ride my bike to work from there. We need the Wellington Street extension though the park for safety reasons. The police can then patrol...
