Minos Take Out — Restaurant in Ontario

Worst place in town. I used to be a long time customer of this restaurant, but after my last order, I will never order from place again. I am not the kind of person who writes reviews online, but I am so frustrated by what happened that I took the time to do so. Here is the quick and dirty.

I placed my order and was told that the food was going to get here between 30 and 40 minutes. No problem, I live roughly 20 minute from the restaurant so it makes sense. One hour later to the minute, I Call back and very politely ask if the order is on its way, I was told by a very rude man that it would be here in a five minutes. I ignored his very arrogant intonation and kept my cool, I even thanked him before he hung up on me...

About 45min later, my girlfriend called back and she was greeted by that same individual. She once more asked if it was going to be long. She was put on hold, except the guy on the line did not press the hold button and my girlfriend could hear everything that was said. The rude man asked about our order and said that frankly he didn't give a fk if it was on its way or not, but that this bch on the line wanted to know. When he came back to the phone, my girlfriend mentioned that she could hear everything that was said, he answered that if she wasn't happy, she just had to order somewhere else. I took the phone at this point and argued about how impolite he was. The man said very rudely that we were impatient idiots and Even made fun of my girlfriend's accent (French accent)and promptly hung up.

Never again ordering from this place ever again and implore you to find another restaurant. Never have I has such a terrible service, I was very tempted to drive down there and punch that guy's nose in, but for what, all I hope is that this review dissuades you from ordering here.

I'm not usually one to write reviews but after two negative experiences at Minos I felt the need to in the hopes that some changes are made. I first ate dine-in at Minos a few months ago. The food was alright but our night was spoiled when my hair nearly caught fire from some sort of flaming dish served to the table behind us. Rather than apologizing or even acknowledging this very dangerous action, the owner proceeded to take out a fire extinguisher from behind the bar to put it on display. Meanwhile, I was very shaken up and the back of my neck was red and sore to touch.

We decided to give Minos another chance and order take out delivery. My partner placed the order online and the instructions were very unclear regarding payment for the meal. When he called to confirm, the individual he spoke with sounded confused about our order. Once things were sorted out our food was delivered shortly after. The portions are great and the food was reasonably warm, however, my partner had specifically requested the chicken souvlaki meal without mushroom sauce, but when he opened the package the entire meal was smothered in the sauce. Additionally, the buns were just tossed into the bag. This experience didn't leave me very confident that care was taken in the kitchen during a pandemic.

My family ordered from here tonight and after receiving our order we realized it was somebody else’s after already handling and opening the containers. upon calling the restaurant to notify them it was the wrong order, the driver was sent back with our proper food. However she then asked for the contaminated food back!! We let the driver know that we had opened it and therefore it was contaminated. With a global pandemic it did not seem right they wanted it back, and we said that. The driver stated “well it is somebody else’s meal and they are waiting for it”. Saying she was still planning on serving it to the other customers!!! We called back to notify the restaurant of this and they sounded annoyed by our concerns. By the time we got off the phone he finally stated he would start to make them a new one, even though he had already known since the first call. I hope they did remake the meal and delivered it, but by the time we got off the phone the delivery driver could have driven the short drive to the...
