We went to a Tuesday showing of Deadpool and Wolverine. Tickets were $9 each and I saved a bit on the online transaction fee because I have a scene card.
When we got there I was disappointed to see they have removed their arcade section. (Granted I haven’t been in awhile but the game zone was always one of my favourite sections growing up and even as an adult I have enjoyed hopping onto the knock-off DDR machine)
We had planned to only purchase a drink but my husband decided to get a popcorn too. Medium popcorn and a medium drink rang in at about $19. (Which is roughly the same amount as our tickets - yikes)
We went to the 9:30 pm Regular showing. It was nice being able to choose our seats online ahead of time. I suffer from severe anxiety so I was delighted when I realized the 3 seats to my husband’s left and the 4 seats to my right remained empty.
The audience consisted of adults and some teenagers. The overall vibe was relaxed and while there was some chatter throughout nobody was rude or caused an issues during the screening.
We both enjoyed the film. The theatre was clean. It didn’t smell unpleasant. The AC was a touch cold but I brought a light cardigan just in case.
There were only 3 movie previews and what felt like 100 commercials. They no longer play the guessing game at the beginning - while you wait for movie previews to begin.
The volume was very loud. It took me until the last movie preview to adjust.
One major complaint I have is this: when you go to see a comedy/action film they should not be playing horror previews. I understand it’s the late showing but it was jarring. I’ve never had that issue in the past - usually the previews align with the film type.
The washrooms were clean but the women’s washroom is a long counter of sinks and the only soap dispenser is next to the counter on the side closest to the door which means you need to walk towards the exit, get soap and walk back to a sink - not my favourite set up.
Staff were friendly and service was quick. I prefer the drink machines they have at most movie theatres where you get to dispense your own and hope they switch to those...

I went last night at a god awful hour to watch M3GAN. The movie was as expected and I have no complaints.
About 3 quarters into the movie the sound gets turned down so low, we can barely hear it. Two people left the theater to search for an employee to help. One person went into the back employee room marked 'staff only' to find no one (like...entered it - it was not locked).Someone went behind the concession stand to look for staff - no one. Someone tried calling the theater to see if there was some back office person we could speak to - no one and no option to speak to a human. It was very in theme to the movie.
When the movie ended, we found one sole employee who denies that it was turned down too low. She said someone had complained in our or another theater that the movie was to loud. She turned it down 'a little.' Girl. We paid 50 to see half of a B-rate movie.
Today, I tried calling again to speak to manightnagement about our experiences....there is no option to speak to a human.
Just to add...I don't expect the one, 16 yo employee to make the middle aged friends happy. It is intimidating managing complaints at any age. But she alone was left to manage the llate ight crowd of a cornwall movie theater. how is that...
Read morePre-bought tickets online and brought my receipt to obtain the tickets at the kiosk as advised on my online confirmation. The kiosk didn't recognize my confirmation, so I asked a staff member who told me I had to wait in line to order tickets? There is NO line for just movie tickets. You have to stand in the concession line to buy just tickets! There are no show times or movies listed anywhere in line and they are slow as molasses! 25 minutes waiting in line to get tickets I bought online to expedite this process. When I am finally served the guy at the concession had no idea so he said he would get his manager. The manager comes out and says someone already collected these tickets. I asked how that is possible as the confirmation specifically says you have to show ID to collect the tickets!?! She started throwing attitude and wrote something o a scrap piece of paper for me to give to the ticket collector. I cannot believe this person is a manager!. Rude and inconsiderate. I will not return to this theatre...it is so badly organize and there was garbage all over the floor like no one cleans up. Certainly...
