Lamoureux Park in Cornwall, Ontario, is truly a gem! This beautifully maintained park offers something for everyone, making it the perfect spot for a family outing or a peaceful day outdoors.

The river views are absolutely breathtaking, providing a serene backdrop for a leisurely walk or a relaxing picnic. The St. Lawrence River glistens in the sunlight, and there are plenty of spots to sit and take in the natural beauty. It’s the ideal place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

For families with children, the splash pad and play structure are an absolute hit. The splash pad is modern, clean, and full of fun water features that keep kids entertained for hours. The play structure is also top-notch, with plenty of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.

Music lovers will appreciate the band shell, which hosts a variety of live performances throughout the year. Whether it’s a local band or a community event, the atmosphere is always lively and welcoming. It’s the perfect way to enjoy some live entertainment in a relaxed setting.

Picnic areas are plentiful, with tables and benches conveniently located throughout the park, making it easy to settle in for a lovely outdoor meal. If you didn’t pack your own food, no worries—Wheinies on Wheels, a fantastic hot dog cart near the splash pad, has you covered. It’s the perfect spot to grab a quick, tasty bite to eat while enjoying all the park has to offer.

Overall, Lamoureux Park is a fantastic place to spend a day. Whether you’re looking to relax by the river, let the kids burn off some energy, or enjoy some live music, this park has it all. Highly...

Very nice park to stop at for a picnic. We brought our little sandwiches and our drinks and we stopped there. These picnic tables. Not too many of them, but there was always a couple available. There's bathrooms on the west side of the park. There's nice rapids. You could see boats going by. There's a lot of people. The park is gigantic so there's plenty of space for everyone. And like I said, there aren't numerous picnic tables, but there's enough that you'll find one to stop and eat at worst case scenario. Throw a blanket down and have a picnic. It's a great place for that. There's Sun there's shade. There's hills. There's walkways there's watersides there's games for the kids to play. There's like swing sets and stuff like that. They both go by. It's very yeah. A nice place to stop. Very nice place to go for a picnic or just to go some tanning or hang out with your family or alone. Bring a book or something. It was all ages. There was all types of people on foot by car everything. So yeah I would say go there and enjoy it. It's a good place to go. It's nice by the water. There's facilities. There's even a little museum. It was closed the day we went but I mean there's a little museum. There's pretty much everything so go check it out and you don't get out go it's summer. It's beautiful. So nice place to go. It won't regret it lucid by the water. Bring a chair. Go chill all...

I absolutely loved the Ribfest celebration. I'm glad and thankful for these fantastic events that are celebrated at our beautiful park. With that being said I have to say I was disappointed with how few recycling containers there were. Many people were drinking bottled water since it was extremely hot and I walked around for a long time carrying empty bottles looking for recycling bins. It would of been nice to have more of them accessible. I am also disappointed with the fact that we've known about Ribfest for months now and still nothing was done to fix the problem with the lights at the bandshell. We want to show that we are a proud community and love our city. I don't think this should if been overlooked. I felt a little embarrassed when looking at our Cornwall sign with half the...

Really fun place to stop by and fish. There is a lot of geese hanging around though so there is unfortunately plenty of bird poop everywhere. The park used to invest in a program to peacefully move the geese out of the park but I don't believe it's funded anymore, or it doesn't appear to be. I would say it's the best place to through a football around but I definitely enjoy fishing here. Also the baby ducks that hang out in the shallows are super cute! Also would like to add that there is a decent bike path that runs directly through Lamoureux that is would a ride on. You can make it pretty far from what I have heard.

I went to Cornwall yesterday for a short trip outside of Montreal. One of the first spots I went to when I arrived there. Surprisingly a very quiet spot with to visit near the St-Lawrence River. The civic complex, the aquatic center, the tourism center and the waterfront trail are all nearby. As seen on Narcity Canada, there's also some snow sculptures that have been shown on their blog. I would suggest coming down to this park during the summer if you are looking to do cycling, hiking and even seeing some birds in this park!
