The Spicy Pearl — Restaurant in Ontario

Was in Cornwall for a day and decided to try out this place out.The restaurant specializes in Caribbean and Thai food.

What's great about this place:

1.The owner and Thai lady working here are really nice people. Having visited Thailand a few times and tried authentic Thai food, i can honestly say this is one of the best Thai food i have found here i Canada. The Green Curry was so flavourful with the right amount of heat. The springs rolls were FANTASTIC. The real game changer really is the sweet/sower source that came with the spring rolls OMG!! so so GOOD i kid you not! The portions here are big enough. You really get a bang for the buck

What could be improved

Im a big fun of Oxtail. The oxtail here was OK but not great. I thought it lucked some flavour and a patch. Something that makes you come for more was missing. A little bit of hit and a few balanced spices will definitely...

An absolutely wonderful eating experience. The service is far and above the best I have ever come across, and the food is sublime. The full view of the kitchen gives you that at home feel we all look for in restaurants, and Roger (the cook) is more then happy to discuss the dishes with you, he radiates passion for the island style cuisine they offer. The front man and manager Lee, is so genuine and polite that you can't help but smile after being in there for five seconds. His hospitality is exactly what you want when going into a new establishment. The location is easy to find, and offers lots of parking in the surrounding areas. The restaurant itself is decorated with an eye for Carribean atmosphere, and they exemplify that feeling perfectly. It is extremely clean, and makes you want to go back again and again. With reviews this good, you can’t help but be a little apprehensive when trying out new things, especially in a place like Cornwall (no offence). But maaan, this place totally delivers! I had zero affiliation with either Roger or Lee before my first visit, but I’d be thrilled to have them over for a beer any day of the week. The warmth I received from Lee on the phone is only matched by the warmth that’s left in my belly after one of Roger’s meals. I absolutely and unequivocally recommend this place to everyone in town.
