THEY ARE RACIST!!! Or… do they just jump to conclusions?

(This happened a few months ago, but I’m talking to someone about it now and they suggested I write a review.)

I am half Black and have a large Afro. I went with my friend to have a nice breakfast, but we ended up waiting at the door for about 20 minutes. The servers were standing at the counter watching us, but nobody greeted us or offered to seat us, so we decided to sit down ourselves.

Not even 30 seconds later, a white family of about 8 walked in, and they were seated immediately. We became impatient and kept looking back at the servers so they could at least offer us coffee, but they stayed behind the counter, looking at us and talking amongst themselves.

We sat there for about 30 minutes with no service whatsoever. Eventually, we walked out. By the time we left, the entire family who had arrived after us already had their food.

We called afterward to make a complaint, and they said they’d “look into it.” However, we overheard someone on the phone saying, “Oh look, they’re calling now,” as if they were already expecting it or making fun of the situation.

I’m not sure if it was actually racism or just ignorance, but either way, the experience was unacceptable. Their behaviour was completely unprofessional and should be...

Food tastes great but it is a greasy spoon so keep in mind it might be a little greasy. Coffee is subpar, however.

Decore is very bland. Pretty much just an empty room with some tables thrown in. Boring and ugly. Not a major concern for this type of place, though, I suppose.

Service was terrible. Walked in, no indication whether to seat yourself or wait. I waited. After about a minute and a half of getting zero attention, despite several waitresses seeing me and walking around the dining room, I gave up and sat myself. I saw this happen with 4 more groups that came in behind me.

Asked for some ketchup. Even though they were half empty they didn't have a bottle to give me. The table beside me was finished eating and had a bottle but I was not offered that one even after they left.

I was out of coffee for over 30 minutes until a different waitress came to clear my plates 20 minutes after I finished eating and asked me if I wanted more. Bill took at least 30 minutes to arrive and they took 20 minutes just to ask me if I wanted it.

This place really needs to work on giving customers attention and ensuring they have basic supplies like ketchup. Otherwise the...

Went in today to have a bite. Decided on breakfast, wont be back. Ordered a chocolate milk, 2 egg with 3 meat breakfast, homefries and toast. It took 25 minutes to get my order. When the waitress brought it over she had to go get silverware after putting the food down on the table. The scrambled eggs were not really scrambled, the ham I ordered was bologna, the sausage was cooked just enough to say it was cooked. Ate everything and requested my bill from another waitress who asked if I was done. She told my waitress (she was in the kitchen either eating or talking to the kitchen staff. After waiting 10 minutes for my bill I stood up and went to the counter to pay. The same waitress who asked if I was done again told my waitress I was ready to go and kept asking for her debit machine code I finally just told the 2nd waitress what I ordered and paid cash.
