Serendipity Boutique — Local services in Ontario

I've been a regular customer at this location for nearly a decade, and up until the past few years, I would always leave with my hands full of great finds. Unfortunately, over time, it has become increasingly difficult to find items that meet my expectations. Now, it often takes several visits to locate even a single item worth purchasing, and when I do, it tends to be of mediocre quality.

It seems that volunteers have first pick of the best items, leaving only less desirable items for the general public. Many of the items that are put up for auction don’t seem to be the best of what’s available, and in some cases, they seem like items that should have been displayed on the sales floor in the first place. This change in inventory quality and the overall shopping experience is quite disappointing.

As a result, I no longer visit as frequently. Perhaps the organization should consider hiring employees to manage the shop, allowing volunteers to participate in the process without affecting the fairness of the selection for customers.

Had some awesome treasures here! A good variety, pants, tops, sweaters, jewelry, even some food. (Seems to be damaged but non expired food that stores can’t sell and donate.) they have dresses, for prom or other events. Worker was very kind, he made jokes and made us feel very welcome. Parking was easy to find. Donations accepted, all funds go to supporting woman of the community. This place looks small but when you visit you’ll find there are a few rooms around and they have stock in the back as well they can’t display everything. Great place to find thrifted clothing. Wonderful prices for all items. Love that it goes directly to a women's shelter in the city. There's try-on rooms and the racks are well organized. It's a little cramped inside, but makes it feel ritzy and very boutique. They offer fresh baked snacks and drinks like tea and coffee. My only issue with the place is the accessibility. There is no way to shop for someone who uses a walker or a wheelchair. No accessible entrance and the boutique is multi-level inside. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
