This was our first time visiting this restaurant for a Tuesday late lunch at 3pm.
Their online menu is mobile friendly; it is easy navigate and read. The restaurant is licensed to serve alcohol.
There is plenty of free parking in the nearby mall parking lot that is a two minute walk to the restaurant or alternatively there is paid street parking.
There is a large patio out front with ample seating.
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and clean but more attention needs to be paid to the ceiling vents where layers of dust can been seen on top of them; it was obvious they were not cleaned in weeks if not months.
Teena, our server, was friendly and service was quick.
The Ceasar salad with house made dressing was absolutely delicious and worth getting.
The Wood Oven Baked Brie was perfectly cooked. The triple berry compote with crushed walnuts, served with herb oil pita was sweet but very tasty.
The Classic Trio Plate - Chicken, Pork and Cheese schnitzels were cooked perfectly and seasoned on point. I had the red cabbage side, which is on the sweet side, but still very tasty.
The Fish and Chips - Beer battered haddock, fried to golden brown and served with fresh cut fries and tartar sauce. This was excellent. The fish was tender and well cooked and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. The tartar sauce that was served alongside was delicious as well.
The WOOD FIRED PIZZA - Meat Lovers is prepared in the middle of the restaurant where the wood fire oven is located. Being a pizza lover, I can say it was perfectly cooked. The pepperoni, ground beef, bacon and Oktoberfest sausage were perfectly and equally distributed throughout the pizza. If you love pizza you will definitely enjoy this wood fire pizza.
This restaurant has a large outdoor patio, which is adjacent to Pitt St.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and experience and would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely...
Read moreLast weekend, the weather was beautiful we wanted to eat on a terrace, this restaurant has a really nice terrace in the shade and I had never tried this restaurant so we decided to go there for lunch. The host was very friendly, the terrace was nice, even if cars drive right by and can be loud and obnoxious. The service.... It started good, waitress came over quick enough, took our order, brought our drinks. It went downhill from there. Our food took a long time. There was only 2 tables inside and half the terrace patrons were already eating when we ordered so not sure what the excuse was. Our chicken schnitzels were over cooked so maybe we could have got our food 5 minutes earlier?.... The dude who brought our food (not our waitress) came and stood there beside out table, with a look on his face that said he did not want to be doing this? I had to tell him where plates went because he just stood there... So yeh the meat was over cooked and dry, good thing they gave us lots of cheese sauce. The waitress had recommended the garlic mash, my boyfriend went with it and it was a good idea, good recommendation, he loved mixing his bites all in the mash and sauce. My fries were just ok. My daughter's poutine was soggy, too much gravy too much cheese, she didn't finish it. The waitress never came check up on us to see if all was good. I had to twist and turn for 10min look for her to ask for ketchup. You serve fries, why is there no ketchup on the table? So we finish eating, my boyfriend ate everything, but my daughter and I didnt. Eventually..... the waitress remembered us, without even asking IF we were done, without asking if it had been good, without even looking at us, without a word, just grabbed our plates and left. Didn't offer coffee and dessert, came back 5min later with the bill, her only words "you need to pay inside". Wow. $100 lunch for this....
Read moreThis place has been a Cornwall Staple for quite some time now. I have driven by this place so many times, it is part of the scenery. I have rush passed this place so many times to get Popcorn or Jack Lee's. I finally got the gumption to go in and try this patio laden hip spot.
The service was great I forget the servers names now that I write this two days later, but he looked like a member of Mumford and Sons with his goatee, tight black jeans, tattoos and oozing of hipster nostalgia. Not a knock on the guy because he was a top notch server and was very attentive to the needs of the table, filling glasses, napkins, general niceties, etc. He was an excellent server and deserves to hear that, Mr Hipster I Apologize for forgetting your name, but alas I did not forget your impeccable service and Mumford-esque apparel.
On to the star, of the show, the food. While, I should have ordered the Schnitzel in a place called Schnitzels, but I walked in saw their Brick Oven smack dab in the middle of the restaurant and had to try it. We ordered a fresh pretzel for appetizers and it came with amazing honey and Mustard sauces separately. Divine and light. You will like these pretzels. We got the meatlovers pizza and Sweet Heat wings. The wings were a tad undercooked but not Ecoli undercooked. The sauce was the perfect mixture of sweet and heat and all around tasty. The wood Fire pizza was absolutely out of his world. The imperfect perfections of the burnt pieces of crust was magical. You taste the wood in very good smooth way. Not overpowering smoke like most brickoven pizza joints. My favorite part of this pizza was the FRESH Mozzarella amd sauce. It was still great hours later for take home snack. I definitely will be back to try the...
