Fairy Sweet — Restaurant in Ontario

Ordered a Spider-Man themed carrot cake for my boyfriends birthday. Place the order in October to be ready for December 3rd. Got there at the time they gave me and the cake wasn’t decorated yet so I waited 30 minutes and it came out not looking the same as the picture I sent them. It wasn’t even frosted the same way so I was really disappointed. The flavour of the cake was just fine but for the price I paid I am very disappointed. I’ve heard such good reviews about this bakery and accidents happen but it was still very disappointing for paying $70. The customer service was good.

It wasn’t the wait. I don’t mind waiting but it didn’t even end up look like the picture I had sent to you guys, it also wasn’t frosted the same way as the picture. I understand it’s the busy season but i could have been messaged to be notified it wouldn’t be ready on time and I would have waited for it to be done properly instead of rushed. My name is Sue-Anne, and I am the former co-owner of Fairy Sweet. As the current owners have already stated, I have not been involved with the business for over four years.

It is deeply disturbing to see false and slanderous comments being posted under my name and about this establishment. These reviews are not only misleading to the public, but also unfair to the hardworking team who run Fairy Sweet with dedication and integrity.

I want to make it clear that these comments are completely false. I strongly urge that these fake reviews be removed, and that an apology be extended to the current management, who should not have to endure this type of malicious behavior.

To the public: please know that Fairy Sweet remains in good hands today, and I encourage you to continue supporting local small businesses who pour their heart into serving their community.

We ordered a birthday cake + smash cake for our son's first birthday. It was more than we would generally spend on a cake, but as we couldn't have a party due to the lockdown, we wanted to splurge.

The cake wasn't ready when we went to pick it up as something had fallen off of it, but the shop had the cake delivered to our home a few hours later.

Ultimately we were quite disappointed by the fact that we didn't get the flavour we had ordered for either the main or the smash cake. When we reached out to discuss this with the shop, they were reticent to accept responsibility before ultimately offering us 25% off toward our next purchase at Fairy Sweet. Considering our experience this first time around, we will not be opting to order a cake from them in the future.
