This is the most beautiful park in Paris, Brantford in my opinion. Beautiful, mature towering trees, lots of picnic tables, benches and grassy areas to sit. The Nithe river runs right by it and you can listen to the soothing water sounds.
For kids, this playground is incredible. Four separate areas for children of different ages, new swings, a sensory trail to explore, a modest but fun splash pad, and a gorgeous outdoor public pool.
There are also a few trails to access from here. The Distillery Trail (A short trail that comes out behind Wendy’s convenience store, the Nithe trail (paved with a bridge over the river), and entrance to the legendary Barker’s Bush (just off the Nithe trail before the bridge).

Read moreThe first time I brought my son here a few years ago I had never been to this park or really even knew it existed! When we first approached I was blown away by the amount of amazing play equipment for the kiddos. It was a blast for my son! Not only that, there's a great swimming pool to use and a fun splash pad open through summer. If you'd prefer a relaxing and scenic stroll, the trail running through the park is perfect. There are even some spots you can walk down to the river (my dogs favorite part of the park haha). Or you can even catch some baseball action at either of the 2 diamonds (with a concession stand available I might add!) Overall, this is just a really peaceful, well maintained and great place for kids, adults...

Lions Park in Paris is a hidden gem for a perfect family day out! The park itself is beautifully maintained, with a lovely play area that kept the kids entertained for hours. We also enjoyed the splash pad, which was a big hit with the little ones. Although the swimming pool was reserved for a private party when we visited, it looked fantastic, and we’re eager to try it next time.
One of the best things about Lions Park is its proximity to downtown Paris, making it easy to grab a bite or an ice cream. The park wasn’t very busy, so it felt like we had plenty of space to relax and enjoy our picnic. Overall, it’s a great spot for a laid-back family day, and we’re looking forward to...
