I arrived at 5pm on the Civic holiday Monday, without a reservation, somehow hoping for a miracle squeeze-in table. Even though OpenTable said they had nothing until 7, the nice lady at the front desk worked her wonders, and Ann sat me down at this corner table on the patio, facing the Grand River. Wow, what a perfect table and view, and it gets better!

I was greeted by Samantha, who quickly brought me water and a drink. She got right to the point and asked if I knew what I'd like to order. To be honest everything sounded so good, I had a hard time deciding between the Salmon and the Beef Short Ribs. She recommended the ribs, and went with those.

Before I knew it, my dinner was served, and it looked amazing! The grilled/slightly charred Brussel Sprouts were the best I've had. (I need to try these on the bbq sometime!) The short rib was fall-off-the-bone meat soft, and really tasty with just the right amount of gravy. The parmesan fries were crispy and delicious, and Sam refilled my Pepsi before I could ask her. What great service with a smile!

The desserts sounded delicious, but decided to go with a coffee. She came back and said the chef just put a fresh pot on and would just be a few mins. The coffee was worth the wait, and just what I needed for the longish drive back to Toronto!

I highly recommend Capeesh Craft Kitchen and Cellar, and will be sure to visit them again, whether it be when I'm in Paris, ON, or a drive out, it's worth the...

We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday afternoon, it was busy so myself, my wife and my 15 month old were seated downstairs which was empty, this was totally fine with us. 5 minutes later an elderly couple were seated behind us, from the moment the lady sat down, she was so rude and belittling to her poor husband, and was clearly angry that she had been put downstairs in the “basement” as she kept referring to it. Our very well behaved little girl was not crying , not being loud, she was just behaving as you would expect a 15 month old to behave in public. My wife and I had to sit and listen to this lady say how she didn’t come out to listen to a baby, also how dissapointed she was in the restaurant!!! We felt so incredibly uncomfortable having to listen to this, and decided we would leave. The staff were so unbelievably accommodating to us, i actually feel awful that I never got their names, they offered us a table upstairs, where we decided to stay and eat. When the food came it was delicious, the server kept coming to check on us which we really appreciated. When I asked for the bill they informed me it was on the house because of what we had experienced, wow, we were so shocked and did not expect a freebie especially as it was not the staffs fault!!! Thank you, honestly from the bottom of our hearts, thank u!! We recently moved to Paris, and we cannot recommend this restaurant enough, we will...

My partner and I visited this restaurant for our anniversary, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience that left us with no desire to return.

On the positive side, the hostess was delightful and went out of her way to get us a better table without us even asking. However, the rest of the evening fell short.

Our waiter seemed disorganized and somewhat rude. Instead of greeting us, she told us she’d be with us soon, leaving us waiting for quite some time to place our orders. Meanwhile, another couple who arrived after us received their food before we did, which was frustrating.

The service was lacking throughout the meal. Our appetizers were served before our drinks, and we had to ask for just to get napkins. Our waitress didn’t offer any bread, our water was empty and we didn't get refills, nor did she engage in any conversation with us.

When our mains finally arrived, the beef short rib and brussels sprouts were extremely over salted, while the three cheese ravioli was overpowered by the taste of onion. Both dishes were disappointingly cold, and we could only manage a few bites before giving up.

Despite the cozy ambiance and pleasant hostess, the level of service and quality of the food left us unsatisfied. We ended up paying a $115 bill, but we will not be returning to this restaurant based on...
